Harry Potter Costuming Update Dressing The Part (AKA EVERYTHING IS DONE!)

So VERY excellent - going to wear it to the opening day of the movie?

I have a plush Hedwig - from Warner Bros. store

Thanks so much! We will wear them to the Harry Potter Adventure fest this Saturday and next weekend to the movie and again twice more for Halloween... and the HP Adventure next year, too. *grin*

Awwww I bet that Hedwig is just adorable! I looked online and they were all pricy. This one cost me about $9 to make.

Of course if it's too busy for the HP movie, we'll see Ice Age2 instead. Both look fabulous,  but Gideon's FIRST pick is Harry Potter. He's so excited.!

Thank you so much. It was a lot of work, fun, and a bit of stress toward the end, many nights up til 3,5,6 and 7 am to finish it all.... but it's done and it WAS worth all that work.

There was a time I wasn't sure if it was worth it, lol. But the FUN we will have Saturday will tell me undoubtedly it was worth it... just like the smiles from Gideon will. :)

I knew you could do it!!!! and on time!!!  I'm so glad they got finished in time, they are wonderful.  I hope your little guy knows how lucky he is to have a mom who cares that much.

Actually with a day to spare. I was honestly worried I'd be sewing late the night before and get an hour or so of sleep!

Thanks so much! It was fun, but the best reward is seeing his glee at our costumes.... and if we won... he'd be even happier! :P (I'm not holding my breath for that, though. The contest is sponsored by a costume shop and I  have a strong feeling they will want professional -mass- produced costumes to win - particularly the ones that were bought there.

Thank you. Oh are you kidding me? For weeks he's had his wand that Moaning Myrtle gave him last year. He's been doing the spell to keep the dementor away for weeks. He remembers last year and how fun it was so he's super excited.

Then the following weekend we'll see the movie. :P
