Today was a fun-filled day. The kids and I went to the FREE movie this morning. We watched Nims Island, we hadn't seen it before. It was a wonderful movie... cute, funny and a little sad.
(Regal FREE Family Film Festival all summer long!)
Afterwards we went to TCBY for frozen yogurt and then to the park!
How was your day?

Doing FANTASTIC! I'm reading a reeeeeeeeeally good book. :)
What book are you reading?
I was hoping you'd ask! :) I'm reading:
Not My Turn To Die
Memoirs of a broken childhood in Bosnia
By fellow Gather member Savo Heleta (sheleta.gather.com)
AWSOME, AWSOME BOOK!!! I wrote an article as I started reading it the other night, and put it up in my spotlight. It's one of those books that brings out about every emotion a human is capable of feeling. Also, his writing is in such a style that you're not just "reading" the book, but you're THERE watching things as they happen. What's more he's only 2 years older than me. It's amazing the things one can live through, and it's wonderful when a survivor tells his story.
It sounds like a great book. How cool that a fellow Gather member wrote it, that's awesome!
Thank you Bridget. If it wasn't for Gather, I would have missed this fantastic book. As you know, I'm already interested enough in that area (Croatia/Serbia/Bosnia) love the music, so when I discovered Savo's book, I just had to read it! I tend to read a lot of memoirs, and I don't think I know the meaning of light reading. It's a nice balance with all the superficial CRAP going on in the news these days. AARRGGHH!!!! I mean, I'm reading a book written by someone who survived more than you and I will ever see in 60 lifetimes living in North America, and the news is all about M.J.? What the.... !!! ???
It's a very good book, and I highly reccoment it.
MAJOR GATHER REVIEW to come, when I'm done reading it.
I look forward to reading your review!
And I look forward to writing it. I'm going to use some of the Amazon gift cards I've managed to accumulate from Swagbucks, and MyPoints, to buy a whole stack of 'em. I know a few people in my family who'd love to read it, and copies would make great gifts. :)
I went to a womens bible study this morning.. then came home and fixed homemade cookies with the kids.. then we had dinner.. then went for a walk. My husband is pissin me off because last 2 night s hes played his stupid ps3 from dinner until bedtime leaving me to deal with kids all alone and first night was okay.. now Im mad!
Sounds to me like you have ANOTHER child to take care of! That would tick me off too, you have every right to be mad!
Sounds like the bible study, walk and cookies was the best part of your day!
Last few nights.. YES.. He is usually not like this.. maybe its work or something I dont know but I really dont care.. I need his dern help.. lol
OH.. and get this.. went o take a shower and Blake went hrough his room strippin his ay to the bathroom so by the time I got m clothes and got there his little naked but was in the bath... err.. lol
LOL! Kids are too funny!
I was in pain all day. It didn't keep me from smiling nor from doing my job correctly. I am hoping for a better day tomorrow.
I hope you feel better soon! Why are you in pain?
thanks for sharing...
Thanks for stopping by!
uneventful and that's always good
That is always a nice addition!
Had a interview this morning, then came home and played outside with son, then dinner and dishes, made cookies, and hubby played a game with son while I played with daughter
How did your interview go?
I loved that movie, so cute. Yes, a little sad too
Same here!
Today I took the kids out to eat at Panda Express then drove to the next town over to pick up a prescription from my doc's office. Then we went to Walmart and I picked up some clothes for the boys for a wedding we're going to on Friday and some groceries too. The trip to the store was really draining because I had all 3 boys with me and no husband (he was at work) and then I came home and made dinner -- fish tacos, rice & corn on the cob.
You've been busy today! Panda Express is SO yummy!
We did a whole lot of nothing at my house today. ;) Tomorrow we are going to the zoo if it's not rainy. If it is rainy, we are going to some friends' house. Elliott is really excited. He's decided that the 5 year old is his best friend, and her 3 year old brother is pretty cool, too. ;) Their daddy is in the same squadron as my husband, and we'll be hanging out with them at the squadron picnic on Friday, so I know they will all three be super excited to see each other two days in a row. ;)
Sounds like a lot of fun!
Sounds like a great day! We didn't do much today, but we are planning on a fun day tomorrow!
I am going to feature this one in Gather's SAHM it goes with this weeks topic
WOW, thanks SO much! I totally forgot to take my camera along! :(
we just chilled, hubby was off, and I had a migrine, so I relax,, we had storm and we been up since 4 am because of them......
he got a nap before work yet I am still plugging around
My day was so-so! It got up to 103 degrees and even with my AC on, the thermostat was still saying 90 degrees!! I didn't bother looking at the thermostat after I started cooking my enchiladas.
I seen that move in the theaters. I do not think it was as good as I thought it would be. Not by seeing the commercials. But it still was a good movie. I would buy it for my kids one day.
Wow, sounds like a great time Bridget!!! My day was spent working :-( LOL.
Pretty good!
