My MIL got a new dog.... If you call a rat on stilts a dog. LOL - just kidding it really is kinda cute once you get used to it. It is just so tiny. It's legs so spindly. It is a minature Italian Greyhound. She named her "Willow" and she is 4 months old.
We "found" her at the mall when my MIL took me shopping for my birthday. She did not get her then (she wanted to but she called my FIL and my FIL said NO) but she couldn't get this poor doggie off her mind. So two days later she called and it was still there so my MIL talked my FIL into getting her. - lol
She took my daughter Devin with her to the first vet appt., on Mon., because she thought it would be a good experience for her and it was. Devin really loves animals and like most girls her age she would love to become a vet. lol.
After which they came back here for my "birthday cake" which Devin made herself. :)
The dog was quite tired from her experience at the vets (poor baby) and slept after she throughly investigated my house. And boy when that dog sleeps she really sleeps! you can move her, kids can be kids (ie yelling and playing) and all conversations can take place and she does not so much as twitch an eye lid.
She seems to be enjoying her new life being a pampered pet.

They are adorable dogs! I saw one for the first time at the Azaleas Festival in the Spring here. I think they are adorable. Your MIL is so so lucky!!!!
Oh Italian Greyhounds are so very cute!!! I have the mega sized version with Datz :-) And yes, they do sleep like a ROCK. I am not sure if Italian greyhounds have the same traits as regular greyhounds, but Datz will also sleep with his eyes open lol. They also do this great thing where they lay on their backs and stick all four legs in the air. Too cute, I am sure your MIL will enjoy her new addition!

Some of my favorite dogs are Italian Greyhounds. :) Great choice... but I'm always nervous around dogs with toothpicks for bones.

How adorable! I had an Italian greyhound years ago. They sleep like logs and they are quick runners.
