I am reading a great book about thinking positive thoughts. This book is by Joyce Meyer, the Christian author and she is so good. Then Norman Vincent Peale, the well known Christian author also has great book on the Power of Positive Thinking. It is teaching us that we have to think positive and good thoughts. We have to be in control of what we are thinking and not let our minds wander or wonder. That is a hard thing for me to do, well, let's call it a challenge. I want to wonder (worry, doubt) why people said this or that and then when I am supposed to be listening to someone my mind tends to wander (roam). It is a challenge to keep my mind on what I am doing, reading, etc. I am a multi0tasker and my mind tends to jump from one thing to another. LOL How are you when it comes to thinking? Give me your opinions and please be nice and considerate. You do not have to answer this is you don't have something good to add to this post. Thanks in advance and God bless you!

I believe I have the same challenges that you have (and I love Joyce Meyer). What is it they say about great minds...LOL.
Negative thinking and complaining can become a bad habit–one I'm afraid I have. I have been trying to break it and have challenged myself to only speak compliments for one hour each day. If you only speak good things, you're mind should start seeing those good things more often and change the way you think. At least that is what I'm praying for.
I want to turn my attitude of negativity into an attitude of hope.
Yes we need our minds turned back to positive and we will live a much fuller and more productive life. I am working on only thinking positive thoughts and thinking about what I am thinking about. LOL It is a challenge for me to keep my mind on one thing for any amount of time. LOL Thanks for the post and yes, Great mind do think alike. LOL Thanks nad God bless you!
You only named two of my favorites. I think I have adult ADD. I have a hard time paying attention to just one thing. I'm ok at the computer, like right now because my mind is busy composing.
It's horrible to say but sometimes at night when I'm praying something else will pop into my head and all of a sudden I'll realize I wasn't still praying. I would love to fix it. It drives me nuts.
The listening while someone is speaking, I have something that might help at least a little.
You need to listen to understand and not to be understood. Most of us listen to be understood. No one taught us any different. Infact we were almost trained to do it wrong. How many times have you heard someone chastised for not having an answer ready immediately.
Let me know if you figure out how to correct the issue, please. Blessings to you
Thank you for your comment on my butterfly photo. You are too kind.
Positive thinking is all well and good, but I wonder if these authors actually put things in Biblical context? If you "think" something is going to turn out great with your mind, but don't put it in the Lord's hands and pray about it, chances are it's not going to happen.
You are exactly right that is why I enjoy reading Joyce Meyer books and Norman Vincent Peale they apply scripture to each statement they make. Yes, we have to believe in our hearts and trust that God's will is going to be done. Thanks and God bless you!
That is good to know.
