Perhaps she is taking time to prepare for the next celeb Survivor series.

After the way the other side of the political fence have talked about her children. She may have decided that its not worth putting her kids throught it. It is one thing to go after a candidate, but make fun of children just to get a cheap laugh is probably to much to take.

Then its a good thing her and McCain didnt win..you need thicker skin to be VP of the USA.

Sarah Palin in her own words accused President Obama of "Palling Around With Terrorists."

Mr. Obama has been called a Socialist, Dictator, Muslim, Non-Citizen and even compared to a Chimpanzee.  Besides that, the leader of the Republican Party publicly proclaimed that he "Hopes the President Fails", thus hoping that our country fails.

Speaking of children taking swipes, what about Megan McCain actually fighting back, via "The View"? If she could do it, why couldn't the rest of 'em? Bristol Palin knows how to talk, yes, or are we missing something there, too???

Meghan McCain has inherited not only her father's name but his fighting spirit. At the tender age of 24, she has taken on two of the most pre-eminent, and older, female conservatives, Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham, and come out on top.

A quick primer: in her Daily Beast blog, Miss McCain took Coulter to task for being "offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time", and questioned her value to the conservative movement's attempt to reach they young. Coulter didn't hit back, but Laura Ingraham did,  mocking McCain as "just another Valley Girl gone awry".

She "joked" that McCain didn't get a role on an (imaginary) reality show because "they don't like plus-sized models".

McCain retorted by asking what a women was doing reducing a political argument to body size.

She then went on to give a spirited performance on the View, saying Ingraham and others could "kiss my fat ass".

Yikes!!!!

That's what I am talking about Lloyd. I may have voted for "That One", but I have a ton of respect for Meghan McCain, for having done what she did, especially with those 4 powerful words.

Meghan McCain is definately someone I would be willing to reach out to.  Someone I would listen to.  Hear her views.  See where we could probably comprimise on the many issues facing the American people.

I believe that she could and should be a leader in the Republican Party.  She seems to get "it".

It's not about demeaning everything the Democrat Party does.  How can you actually hold those type of feelings when you've lost the House, Senate, White House and the majority of Governorships in the United States.

To be honest, I agree with some of the Republican philosophy.  I would like less intrusion in our lives.  I would someday welcome lower taxes.  I believe in a strong military.  But I don't like the way the GOP goes about achieveing those goals.  I don't Nation Building.  I don't like using War as a first option.  I don't like when they talk loud and say nothing, I.E. "Axis of Evil" ,"Mission Accomplished", "Old Europe", etc. etc.

I want the Republican Party to open their clenched fists when we extend our hands.  President Obama has done just that and only been demeaned in his attempts.

Until they realize that we are all Americans and are in the same boat, they will continue their downward slide of irrevelancy.

Old school Republican views have legitimate merits, but since the Republican Party has decided to admire, in name only, those who, to some degree, "got it" (like Barry Goldwater), they deserved to be shoved to the side, like they did in the 2006 & last year's election. Goldwater, not long before he died (he passed in 1998) noticed that the Christian fundamentalists (i.e. the likes of Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swagart, and Pat Robertson) were gaining prominence, and a larger lobby within Republican circles, and he did NOT like that ONE bit.

Ex-President George Bush played the fundamentalists like a used fiddle.  He used them and abused them only to get elected.  He noticeably stop attending Church after gaining entrance to the White House.

He should be held accountable for their lack of support in the most recent election.  They were conned and they now know it.

CNN, love them or hate them, is a highly reputable news source; they haven't been hit with a lawsuit due to a misleading ad slogan, only to lose, at least within recent years, VERY much unlike Fox, who I understand you largely rely on for current events "information".

Yeah, and chances are she will miss other important events that take place, in plain sight, to be covered by every major news network except Fox, which would directly refute anything she has to say, in the future.
