So beautiful. I have not seen these in the wild, but my daughter has seen them in the Shanghai zoo.
Back in the track and with what a symbol! Spread the cause, Robert.
DNA of a soul
Oh my, they are glorious aren't they. I've just loved them since I was a girl....made a panda pillow in sewing class too! LOL, I'm thinking I got an A on it! I also think I still have it! Thank you Robert. Wouldn't it be wonderful to go to China an see the panda's there like Kathryns daughter has done.
The only three locales on this little rock of ours where Giant Pandas have roamed free are the Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces of China.
Loving the PANDAS Robert. This is a very nice PHOTO ESSAY. Thank you for sharing your creative talent with us in Artistic Minds®.

Beautiful!
Excellent Robert. :)
absolutely beautiful. How lucky we are to still have them around.
YES AND THEY ARE TRULY LOVELY! AS I EMPATHIZE WITH AND MOURN THE POSSIBLE EXTINCTION OF ANY OF HIS CREATION AS IT GROANS WITH THE REST OF NATURE FOR THE RETURN OF JESUS. I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER THOUGH, AMONG THOSE THAT ASK,*WHO DECIDES? PAINTED WITH SLOGANS LIKE,*LIFE FOR THE POLAR BEAR AT ANY COST. CAN WE AT LEAST EXTEND THE MOURNING TO THE BLATANT PRACTICE OF INFANT GENOCIDE IN OUR COUNTRY?
Sooooooo beautiful!!!!! They are absolutely gorgeous!!!!
I never understand, how we can kill off every animal that was placed on this earth. Do you think that men (people, sorry) understood what they were doing? Now, we have taken away all the natural places they live, or killed them for the fur, or just to be great hunters........sigh
Awesome photo essay Robert:) and you and Streaker look pretty comfy!!!! LOL
Thank you for sending me the link
see, you remain my kindred spirit......
Good poem, wonderful photos.
They are surprisingly charming for giant raccoons, aren't they.
Nicely done. I bet you'd give your eye teeth to wander through the wilds of China as you do in your beloved USA.
Well, I would give your left arm and your first born.
They are such beautiful animals
Wonderful photo essay to go along with a lovely poem. The Panda is such a beautiful creature.
Delightful, Robert.
Great animals.
My niece adores Pandas and these are some great pictures made more special by the poem.
I really like pandas, this was a neat poem and pictures!
Thanks Roberts. we really need to save them
Yes they are lovely but, before I compliment any more I'd first like to apologize for the political opinion veiled in my last post concerning Panda's and abortion. As a Christian and a man, it was tasteless, and badly timed. And I am reduced in stature by the many,*Likely to be non christian, viewers that complimented it for it's lovliness alone.I think that as Christians sometimes we so get caught up in the pushing of agenda's, that we forget the mercy and love by which we were called. We ask the Father to forgive us concerning the hasty words that we speak, and rightly so; but we're also held to a standard of accountability to those we speak to. Enough said! Please forgive? As a fellow animal lover, the photo's are beautiful.
You did not offend this fellow Christian but I am glad you made this point, this comment. I got a feeling you are a very good man Mr. Guess.
Thanks
OMG they are gorgeous. My favorite animal!! Was you sitting in the tree with them???? They are so beautiful. I am glad they didn't wipe them out.
"Were" Randi, and no I wasn't but I was kind of close. But unlike my closeness to the alligator, there's actually an 1/2 inch of glass between me and mama Panda.
They are very beautiful animals!~~~10
I love Pandas, my 'teddy' was a panda, after the obligatory brown and yellow one!
Nice photos!:)
Well done, Robert. I love the panda pics, too.
I for one am all for planet, animal and human conversation. If we don't do something to save all of God's creatures from certain death, our planet won't have much to revolve on anymore.
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
I love Pandas, too.
Great photo essay, Robert. I'm not certain I'd feel safe with only a half inch of glass 'twixt us though. Of course, it's unlikely I'd give her a look deserving of attack, but you never know... I might smell really tastey, too. heh heh. "Hmmm... a walking piece of Bamboo? How wonderful!! MINE!!" Crash, chomp. hehehehe
OK nuff satire. Again, a great poem to go with a very pretty critter.
Thanks Dale, I always love comments from my brother photographer.
Nice! They are so adorable
they are so cute
A grand portrayal o' the panda and its plight.
Thanks everyone for commenting AND for enjoying the Pandas.
What a nice photo essay. With your zoom lens the picture is so close that I want to ruffle its fur. They are a gentle bear, aren't they?
Thanks Mary Ann but here's a little secret. I do not use a zoom lens. I enjoy the technique and challenges of getting as close as it appears I am. In this case I sat on the floor and almost got crunched by the folks behind me. lol.
Beautiful piece of work, thanks for sharing. Through photos and poems like yours maybe the humans will realise the value of Nature and Nature's children.
That's my goal Geri, to do my tiny little part. I wish I had the ability, the smarts, to do more. Thanks for walking with the Pandas with me......
Such awesome creatures! Wonderful poem Robert!
Love the poem and the pictures are cool
Our local ABC news crew went to China during the olympics. He got to go to one of the preserves and hold a cub.
