The Ts might read "I can see a quitter from my mansion" since that's more appropriate for Mitt.
Quitting is not sexy. Any opponent republican or democrat will exploit it. As far as people claiming democrats were after her, you've not been paying attention. See the fight between Bill Kristol and Steve Schmidt (McCain's campaign top dog) and the leaked emails between Schmidt and Palin.

I really can't wrap my mind around this claim. Is there no unfinished business or progress the Governor could pursue during the second half of her first term? Does this mean that the Lt Governor won't do anything constructive and the next elected Governor will merely hold a title and collect a paycheck, because there simply is nothing to do ?
How altruistic of her....she's a Lame Duck and it is a waste of time and the state's money for her to stay in office? Puh-leez....Sarah's resignation is for Sarah's benefit and no one else's. it's just a matter of time before the great "WHY" is revealed.
The best one-word description of Palin I read in that story was 'divisive'. Either you love her or you hate her....a 'polarizer' from the North--the idea that she nearly made it into office, a heartbeat away from the Presidency, sends chills up my spine, even today. Whatever her (yet-to-be) stated goals are, rest assured that she hasn't learned anything relevant about her own inadequacies as a political figure with any credibility--only that the rest of the world doesn't understand and it's all their fault. At least, that's the impression I get--she's running from the kitchen because the heat was too great. McCain's advisers should have included an asbestos suit in that wardrobe they bought for her.

I think Caribu Barbie was exposed as a hypocrite - her trying to lambast david Letterman for a joke in extremely poor taste and continued even after Letterman apologized twice back fired and brought to light the near disasterous care for abused women in Alaska, her abuse of power and lack of common sense on the campaign trail showed she was the wrong candidate.
Hillary, Barbara Boxer and hand ful of other women from "both sides of the aisle" would be better choices in 2012 or 2016.
I hope her "political" carrer is not over or that she does not disappear from the national stage. I want the bimbo around for generations. She's the poster child of RW simpleminded pandering to the simpleminded RW base that seek simpleminded solutions to everything. If Sarah continues her nonsense the RW will never coalese or become adults and they will never appeal to the moderates and independents. The Dems need Sarah like they need Rush and O'Reilly. We need the Repubs radicalized, divided and on the fringe.
