I wouldn't go, I'm not going to enter, but there are many that will, just because in some way or another his music touched their life......
Many will 'ignore' the person he was and choose to remember him for the singer he was.
For some those tickets represent a piece of history, and their life. I may not agree with them, but I think , for some, to be at the memorial would be a chance of a lifetime.
I have even heard his death has really sparked interest in his auctions that help benefit charities as well.

I have no desire to go. I do have to say I'm glad they're not charging for the tickets. I heard the other day they were thinking of charging people to allow them inside the Staples Center.
Me and all of my personas signed up for the lottery. While I wasn't an enormous Michael Jackson fan he was without question one of the greatest contributors to global music, choreography, dance and lyrics in history. He was one of the very few musical geniuses of my lifetime. That's what he should be remembered for.
Putting the tickets on eBay should net at least $5 since perhaps half the tickets will end up there.

Personally I don't think you or I will win, but that's purely conjecture. I'll let you know if I do. I would think they'll have some way of giving the tickets primarily to Californians or they risk that no one will show up, don't you think. I mean how many people are going to travel across the country for this. A few maybe but not many. There are probably far more people just like you and I that want the tickets simply to have them and perhaps profit from them at some point. We're so greedy!
