Very interesting! The messages delivered during the hypnagogic state have always interested me, too. That was an interesting article.  I've never been inspired to write a song in the hypnagogic state, but I have composed a poem or two in my sleep.  What is a brainwave CD?  Do you know of any links to a download?

For these, I'm pretty sure you had been reflecting on certain questions and thoughts/ideas within the past 2 to 3 days:
"By letting go of the material world."
"The optical properties of light"
"There are different ways to talk about an increase in quantity."
"Choose not to reveal it to anyone."

For this one, I'm pretty certain if you were to research aspects of his personality, and/or something he was specifically doing during the particular time period you heard this phrase (i.e.--if it was a performance, then look toward the theme of the performance). Things w/in the results of the research would sort of jump out at you and that would be the "answer" they're referring to. It will most likely have to do with some inner quest you had going on.
"Tom Jones has the answer."

The only other ones I pick up any specific energy on are the following. I'm pretty certain that these were bits of conversation that were actually occurring in the moment, but on a different realm. You just settled into a moment/vibration that opened a window into it and heard these 'clips'. (Something to consider, anyway. This happens to me a lot, as well.)
"He started praying for the earth to swallow his little brother, and the earth swallowed his little brother."
"A prisoner in my own house"
"...and although Rodrigo found fulfillment in most areas of his life, he found it lacking in one vital area, and so he sought solace in..."
"His wife is dead."
"___ decimated England."
"They say that there is no possible outcome."
"I only made a mistake once, and that cost billions of lives."
"Sunlight provides 2/3 of it. Artificial light reduces the effect dramatically."

Consider, in that last paragraph, that we are all living multi-dimensionally. From that perspective, even if only accepted as a truth for the moment of considering this idea, we often 'see' and 'hear' things that we are 'doing', 'hearing', 'seeing' in another one of our activities going on in that aspect of another of our life-expressions. Outside of the physical earth realm, where we guage time through the movement of the sun, and now through certain theories such as quantam physics (that we're now beginning to prove, there is no "past" or "future" lives; it is all occurring simultaneously, or can at least be accessed simultaneously, as we are always in the "now". My suggestion for consideration in the above list of comments (with the exception of one of them) is to look at the time period in which you heard them. If they correspond to the inner search you've been doing about one of your specific past lives, consider that you may have opened a sensitivity of energy that allows the 'window' to open into that actual lifetime. You may be hearing and seeing actual glimpses of your own 'past' life in what would be [there] 'real time'. While the logical and analytical mind has a place in all this, be cautious not to allow it an egotistical lead in your contemplation of things like this. Teach it to allow possibilities and then later to analyze. (Hope that makes sense, but that area of our mind tends to overwhelm everything else, as we begin to open up our other sensitivities and 'senses'.) If this is what is occurring for you, don't be over concerned that you're hearing these in the English language. Our higher selves, souls, convert these types of incidents to a manner that is understandable to us in our current life expression, when these things are occurring for our spiritual, soul growth.

Hope this was all understandable, and adds some new perspective to contemplate on. I had planned on responding to you on a couple of things after I got home and was able to focus more on what I hope to share with you. While I'm up here visiting family, I am interupted often and have to keep getting back into the focus and 'energy'. But my inner guidance wanted me to address this particular post immediately, so that is what I've done. I absolutely love this sharing and 'they' (being my own guides) tell me that these clips you've listed above, and the recognition you've come into about them, is of great significance to you. Bravo! How very exciting.

To clarify my comment of ".....within the past 2 to 3 days"----I meant w/in the past 2 to 3 days from when you heard the clips.

Thank you for this amazing reply.  And thank you for taking the time to read and respond while you're visiting family.  I wouldn't have expected you to do that, but I do appreciate it.   Regarding your first grouping, I'll have to give it some more thought.  The "Choose not to reveal it to anyone" definitely came as a response to a request for information about the nature of my "Incomplete Personality."  This one tends to keep to himself (with good reason), so I can understand the reticence.

"By letting go of the material world" came a few days after I finished my first week long session of a Mystery School that I'm attending, so it could have something to do with my move toward a more "spiritual" life, for lack of a better word.  I'll have to ponder the other two.

The "Tom Jones" sentence really made me giggle.  I did think for half a second about the singer, but I think this more likely refers to an old classmate that I recently reconnected with on Facebook.  The request that I made that night was about how to best go about working on a spiritual research project that I've started, and considering that another Facebook friend who is also not really present in my "real life" showed up in one of my dreams that night, I took it as a sign that I should start on my project by spending much less time on Facebook!  :)  Although, now that I think of it, the only Tom Jones song I know is "It's Not Unusual to be Loved by Everyone," so maybe there is a message in there for me.  If there is, I like it.

I'm familiar with the concept that our past lives may be running concurrently in a parallel universe, which may be nearer than we think, so it makes sense that we could pick up messages of what's going on with them.  Actually, when I ask for information on a past life or an inner personality, I try to remember to address the question directly to that person.

On a side note, if you subscribe to the notion that we all come from the same source, then every life that has ever been lived is a past, future or concurrent life of ours, and the "past lives" that come up in our research are the ones that have a strong message for us, can help us in this lifetime, or that need our help for their own spiritual evolution.

Indeed I do "subscribe to the notion". I believe that we.....all that exists....are intertwined and merged with each other; are One. My example in my comment was only one of so many potential scenarios. Your comment is absolutely true and expands upon the thought.
