Fridays' show features Aaron Ware, an 11-year-old identical twin from Maryland who started a bakery in honor of his twin brother, who passed away from brain cancer.
His bakery, Doughjangles, donates a portion of the proceeds to the Casey Cares Foundation, a charity that helped his family throughout the course of his brother's fight with cancer. His bakery receives multiple orders per week and uses dozens of eggs to make his favorite kinds of cookies, such as chocolate chip and Butterscotch Dream. To celebrate Aaron's incredible compassion, America's egg farmers are donating a year supply of eggs to Aaron's business and matching the donation to a food bank in Maryland, where Aaron's family is from. Be sure to tune into the "Rachael Ray Show" on Friday to hear more about Aaron's inspirational story and delicious recipes.

This is cool. I will try to watch.
can someone tell me what time this would be at here in montana?
I will try to watch, I luv Rachel Ray
I will watch, i live in MD and have heard about the bakery before
That sounds like an amazing story~
That is very sweet and heart tugging!
This is one show I will for sure be watching. Thank you for the heads up on the show.
wow sounds like and incredible kid
how do we win
Will try & watch it.
Wonderful! I can't wait to see this show to join in and participate in the chat!!
I don't have cable or satellite so can't watch it.
I don't know if it will come in at my house either. Since the switch, we get far fewer channels.
Wow, that kid sounds amazing!
I never figure out when the show is airing locally and I'm usually working when I can figure it out.
I won't be able to join tomorrow but it sounds like a wonderful show. What and incrdible young man.
I'll try to make it
sorry can't make it. I am up in maine with no tv service and no internet... right now i am in an internet cafe... (don't let my husband know...he's out golfing and wouldn't understand my new addiction to the internet)... have a good chat.
looking forward to the chat.
I am too;)
Hi all,
I'm here, who else is staying? What a great child, it's amazing what we can learn from the younger ones...if we only listen and learn.
I am here hello;)
Oh isnt that sweet!
Hello
~~just thinking of what it must have taken for this child to start the bakery in the first place, we know his grief (being younger), wasn't any less than anyone's would be at the loss of his brother, yet he did something positive with it...
It is amazing that such a young person was able to work through their grief in this manner. Losing oneself in work is usually an adult-oriented preoccupation
hey I'm here
thats sounds amazing an 11year old being able to come up with this idea
He is such an amazing kid!
I agree! He is, by far, my favorite person that has been featured by Incredible Edible Egg on the Rachel Ray show!
Hi Kitten, michelle!
Good to see familiar people :)
yes, it sure does!
I couldn't watch it today, but I am here for the chat.
hello, how are you? I hurt my hand;(
hey everyone!
Hi, I watched the show and I think it's great that Aaron has found his calling in life and wants to do something to honor his twin.
It wasnt on here yet, so I just read up on him and am here for the chat as well.
There are some amazing kids out there.
golds!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's almost like he (the brother), had to do something for his brothers' memory, and came up with this, which took off like crazy.
He is amazing thats for sure!
Hey everyone;)
His doctor seemed like a good, caring person, unlike a lot of doctors these days!
I am so glad he is doing well. It would be difficult to move on for a while. It seems like he is doing awesome;)
There sure are!
Hey Alena!
He was really shy on the show when Rachael was talking to him.
I think it is incredible that Aaron has had the fortitude to continue on in this endeavor past an introductory effort.
Hello, I imagine he had a fair amount of help getting the bakery started, but the inspiration is incredible isn't it?
The inspiration is incredible! I got a big kick out of his "business plan" binder.
That is really cool that the farmers are donating the eggs for a year. And also to that food bank in Maryland.
Hiya Carol, Christina!
Yes, his Dr. does seem very caring, which is so important, whether the patient is a child or not, but especially when it's a child.
Kitten - how did you hurt your hand? Tell me it WASN'T a firecracker!
I really liked his doctor. She seemed like the kind of doctor who actually cares, as opposed to the here take a pill wheter it works or not type.
Yah that is so cool of the farmers!
I know, donations sure don't hurt - at all and they help with any startup business. I wonder if he'll eventually take it to a web-biz too? Thoughts?
Hi Ashley!
Hi Marilyn, I bet he will. That would be a great future for him.
I missed the show but am joining in here at the chat
Hey everyone! I'm off today so I can actually join in an afternoon chat. I love Rachel!
Marilyn if he wants to expnad internet is a great way but he may wait a coupkle of years till he's older
I tripped over the baby gate, my foot got caught on it, so I tried to catch myself and caught it on the towel rack and then slammed into the counter. My friend thinks its broken. Lol I hope not. It gets better every day altho its all bruised and gross...makes it fun to type haha.
He's a very organized child, for someone his age, but then, he's been through an awful lot and turned it into something positive...which is really an incredible thing.
Hey Mark, you made it ;-p (can do that face, husband there, say hi to husband! lol)
Sometimes tragedies make you grow up fast, perhaps that is how he stays so focused!
The kid has my admiration, he makes my 2 favorite kinds of cookies: chocolate chip & butterscotch; smart boy, I bet they're best sellers.
Yah the internet would be awesome. I bet he would get alot of orders.
Amanda! Hi! :)
OMG, Kitten, if it stays swollen, get it x-rayed, don't make the same mistake I did w/my foot, it WAS broken by the time I figured out it wasn't getting better, but by then, it was too late to reset it and didn't heal quite right.
Gee, Kitten, that's a heck of a fall!
Don't feel bad Golds I missed the show as well but the story of this child is an incredible one none the less
it sure is
Oh I love choocolate chip cookies!
True/Internet site, something to think about in his future, but I bet it's already somewhere in the works (in his notebook), as so many orders come from there.
yah tell me about it, I hate that baby gate. If we dont have it up the baby tries to get in the kitty box haha;)
Mark -- Kitten "maybe" broke her hand.... ouch, ouch, ouch...
That must be a write off for the farmers, donating all those eggs, you think?
I am sure they will write it off.
What an amazing kid!
Just people hearing about his story would order cookies I bet;0 I know I would.
I'm so sorry to hear that Kitten
I don't have a twin, but I know twins and have heard that they are very close, more so than regular siblings, so I'm sure losing his twin was especially hard on him.
Yep, we had a couple when our Dave was little, necessary evils they are, (baby gates), but they will get into anything and everything without them, and they're faster than we are -- HOW is that possible?
My friend says its too late to do anything lol i did this I think it was on sunday! so its been a while and i still have a hard time using my last 2 fingers;(
I just watched the video on line. He is one sweet kid and those cookies look great.
I think its great that he is doint this now. Its nice that the farmers donated eggs. I donate to Food Share, as so many people can't afford to buy food right now. Also donate to Coalition To End Domestic Violence, as so many women come in with only the clothes they are wearing after being beaten. Sadly, many still don't get help and I hope all of you have a wonderful safe happy 4th of July.
I have no idea, he is super fast tho.
thank you
and yes I bet it is a tax write off for them, its also good for buisness..more ppl will shop at a caring company
Someone mentioned how shy he was on the show, I'll bet he was terrified, a national audience at 11 years old, how intimidating that must have been for him.
I would be terrified too! I would probably stutter through all the questions, LOL.
I don't have any siblings, but even close friends (which aren't at all the same...), but some, there just isn't just about anything you wouldn't do for them. This is a wonderful tribute to his twin.
If the eggs (yes, they probably are), are a write-off, maybe they'll keep doing it?
yes, that is so kind of you. I was able to get a bunch of cerail really cheap. i need to take it down to the food pantry
They may...cuz they may get a ton of business from publisity so they make more money...so it would be easy to give away eggs then...wouldnt it?
I bet he was scared. I would be scared too;)
Since this is the incredible egg group, I'll share that I have two dutch ovens full of eggs cooking now for potato salad and deviled eggs. Yum-O!
I didn't see Aaron make any recipes on the show. I just saw him making some cookies that he said were healthy and good for diabetics. He didn't show us how to make them though. I didn't really watch Racheal make stuff because I fast forwarded through it. I only had time to watch the segment about Aaron today.
Never too late for an x-ray at least, Kitten, I know from experience! :( See how it goes....
Mary, Hi!
You're right, even on here when people post the free samples, if one can't use them, believe me, after volunteering in a food pantry for over a year, they need EVERYTHING. Right, Mark?
Same w/shelters, had a friend who used to wait till they had a bagful of shampoos, etc's and drop them off at the local men's shelter, they had "Nothing" there.
We have a food pantry we donate to as well. We also donate to the Salvation army.
The charity I always volunteer for is the used book sale at my library. I would never participate in a charity that required that I cook.
I thought it was really cute when he said that he loved what he did a lot, and that he got to eat some of the cookies!
Amanda you're psychic, my wife made potato salad and deviled eggs this morning lol
The food pantry's always need just about everything, and the people going to them is wayyy up, our little town can't keep up without donations - they'd have literally nothing.
The charity I always volunteer for is the used book sale at my library. I would never participate in a charity that required that I cook.
I donate food to local food banks and the post office when they collect in May. I also donate clothes to Big Brother Big Sister and The Veterans Administration. Last year we gave all our leftover garage sale items to a local charity that spays feral cats. They had just opened up a store front to sell things to get money for the spaying.
LOL with Elizabeth! :)
I love to cook, and Amanda, that sounds like A LOT of eggs! Fourth of July party?
yep I do alot of freebie articles Im sure anything someone doesnt need someone else could use, and it just takes a moment of your time to fill out the form
Exactly, and you can use a form filler to expedite the process further.
I think it's a good idea to donate toiletries and personal items to the troops because they have very little of that stuff overseas. Many items that we take for granted are luxuries for them to have available.
I want some develed eggs now I am craving them:L)
Good for you, Carol (and everyone else),
Times aren't getting any easier, we've noticed and anything we can do to help is well... help! Personal care items, even if they're samples, thinking about it, food stamps, if people get them, don't cover things like soap (which I make and give), shampoo, that kind of thing.
Marilyn would get free samples of all kinds from the web and bring them to the food pantry and put them on the counter and the people used to go nuts over them, I mean just a little sample of something new on the market, and they'd act like they found sunken treasure
I'm here. I was reading and lost track of time.
