I sure hope we can afford the anti-biotic I need for my ear infection. I am allergeric to penicillion. We still have no insrurance. Maybe the Dr. will have a some samples. I sure hope to because I know I need ear drops also. Have you ever had an ear infection? My Dr. has warned me that I would keep getting them., and to dry my ears out with a hair dryer.

Diane, some stop and shops are giving away antibiotics free! Hope you have one there!
If you get social security some of the checks are in!
Used to get them all of the time. Now I put silver drops in my ear occasionally and haven't had one since!
I have never heard of this, thanks.
It's somewhat contraversial, but works for our family. We use it when we have scratchy throats or other minor illnesses as well, and never have to go to the Dr. Do some research and see what you think!

I would not use silver, I have heard it can turn your skin blue and pluse being in the ear so close to the brain, no a good idea.
That's why I told her to research it and make her own decision, but there is a lot of misinformation out there. Cases of people turning blue is rare - usually caused by people taking large doses daily of stuff they made themselves. The purified silver that you can buy is safe.
be sure to tell the doc you need a cheaper brand or maybe even a freebie.. best of luck
Used to get them all the time as a child and was absolutely miserable with them. There's a lot of pain the accompanies them. I sure hope you're able to get some free samples or something because you're going to need them. Take care, Diana. ^i^
My grandkids suffered from them as did my dad. They are no fun. Good luck to you and feel better.
Earaches are nasty.Maybe the doc will give you samples if you tell him you can't afford the meds.
I hope so.
When I was in my early teens, I got "swimmers ear". My pediatrician told me to put rubbing alcohol in my ears via a cotton ball soaked in the alcohol. Just drip it in the ear, and it will kill the bacteria. It doesn't hurt, and I still do that to this day.
Hope you feel better.
i dont know if you have a giant near you but they are offering free antibiotics all month. Or check walmart and see if you can get one of the $4 antibiotics. I had one ear infection as a toddler and havent had another one since. My little brother had to get tubes put in twice due to ear infections
I have had one or two over the years, and they healed up fine, i dont think you will continue to get them it all depends on what caused it. using a hair dryer to dry your ears that sounds like it may cause a problem. did they say if its an internal or external infection?
wishing you the best
spit chewing tabacco in it and put cotton in your to hold it in.. No don't do that, gets nasty..
I used to get them all the time. Knock on wood, I haven't had one in a long time, since the doc put me on an anti-inflammatory for something else, but ironically, it seems to be helping with the sinus issues as well (which is what was causing my ear infections)
