I shared Kathryn's tribute of Heidi's poems with a former member of Gather, with being a poet and an English teacher at Logan University in Carbondale, IL. he was too occupied with things to continue with Gather.
Kenneth "Foggy" Gilbert is a published poet who travels under the pen name of erin cilberto.
He was inspired strongly by Heidi's poems and sent me this, saying I may share it with you all via Kathryn, here is what he said verbatim.
" this poem was inspired from reading heidi's words....
I'm you, Was you,
Now i'm not even me
i have related then unrelated to and from your pain
carried the sting
into a honey coated nest of schizophrenic buzzing
emotionally broken winged
i no longer can fly free of the onus you laid upon me
just before you left the good-bye note
duct taped to my chin
as i lay sleeping, deprived of spirit
probing into a sunlight i no longer felt
since the dark cone in which you secluded me
we used to talk so freely on opposite petals
shouting "i love you's"
across the roses
but bumble bee rhythm is a broken tune
when the stinger sucks the pollen
from deep wounds
dried up like jaded prunes
and when i roll over
i feel the adhesive tickle of unsteady legs
treading upon me
caught in the gray matter
that is my heart
slipping off the bloom
too uncertain to hold both of us
and our malady
so now i'm flying
with no place to land.
