So, here I am, 4 days after joining RedGage. Originally, I went with the thought of gearing new viewers to items I've posted here on Gather. I thought it would be a good way of getting new people interested in Gather, and a way to get my views up slightly.
Well, like I said, here we are 4 days later.
What I've found is my views here rarely go up at all. I have almost 100 friends on RedGage, and average 3 views on the items I post there. I view a lot, or did the first two days. The first night, I have over 1000 points from views, comments, and 2 people joining from my referral email. The second night, I had over 1400 points. I've posted 28 items (a variety of links, photos, and blogs). I include photos in my blog posts, links, and more, and still get few views. I've also posted links on Facebook to RedGage, and have done the same here on Gather.
I haven't been featured (not expecting to be, just stating it), so all I have earned are my base earnings of $.31 over 4 days. After 4 days of working at it, I'm at the point where, unless I were to win a contest or be featured a few times, the site is not going to be worth my time at all.
I am earning an average of $.075 cents per day. At that rate, it will take me 357 days to cash out for $25, which is the minimum cash out. At this point, while the site isn't bad, it's not captivating enough for me to waste my time there, and it's not worth it money wise, either.
I may change my mind. I'll still post a few links there to try and drum up views here, but I refuse to look at it as a money earning website. I may find it more profitable later on, but right now, it's a huge dud. You have to be featured or win a contest to earn money there.
