. . . and she's not speaking to me. The last three nights we've called our fourteen year old to the table. I've not been well, due to my recovery in surgery. We've had to say grace without her, as she has rudely been on the phone, and she doesn't come when called. So we have had to say Grace without her. Tonight her dad told her she was being punished for keeping us waiting. She would have to stay in after dinner for 15 whole minutes.
We got the eye rolling and a whatever. I saw that, and added another 5 whole minutes. She was furious. I told her if she didn't knock off the attitude, she'd be in for the rest of the evening. I got the really mad face then.
So, here it comes. She's in for the night.
Next thing I know, she's not speaking to me. I asked her if she were not speaking to me, and she just shrugged rudely.
So I amped up the punishment. I kissed her repeatedly. I hugged her tight, and told her I wasn't speaking to her either.
She then, got on the phone and told her friends how much we loved her, really.

Very typical. I kinda remember those days! Can't say I am looking forward to them. Thankfully, my daughter is only 3!
I wish you well. It got so bad with our son that we had to kick him out of the house before he was 18. Wev didn't want to but we couldn't trust him in our home alone.
Sign...I wonder if I get to receive some of this wonderful teenage love!
My daughter is 14, will be 15 in November...so far so good!
