Thank You Gather!

I received my CVS gift card in the mail on Saturday, and today I stopped in CVS to spend it. Let me tell you, I had a "field day!" I first checked out the air fresheners and candles, hoping I wasn't going to get yelled at for testing the scents until I picked the one I liked best. My second item on my list (which I forgot at home) was hair straightener, which I haven't bought in a long, long time. But, my hair is losing it's curl, and I can't do a thing with it (plus my daughter's been bugging me to do it). I had browsed through the circular, and really didn't see anything I wanted except Colgate & Aquafresh toothpaste for $.99 (4.6 oz.), so I bought 2 Colgate as they ran out of Aquafresh.

Then, it was off to the Clearance aisle-I had to ask and I was personally led there by the CVS associate who proceeded to explain the green clearance stickers-I was impressed!! AND, I was in my glory. I literally sat down on the floor while I went through all the bins. I bought some stocking stuffers for my kids at (can't tell-they sometimes read my posts), but I got some cool deals (& I spent over 20 minutes on the floor!). I did treat myself to Strawberry Creme Savers (YUM!) and a bag of dark chocolate-covered raisins at half off. I was almost done, when I asked the cashier, "Where's the duct tape?" He pointed me in the right direction, but I didn't like the price. Back at the checkout, I started emptying my basket, and told the cashier, "I don't need the duct tape-I'm not going to kill anybody." He laughed (maybe he was afraid not to??), and I checked out paying $22.90 for 11 items, and I'm happier than a pig in crap (I don't want to get flagged :)

So, I thank you Gather with every ounce of my being (cut it,  Mare!), and despite the new point "rules," a loyal Gatherer I plan to stay!
