Hi all. I have a plant in my yard and I have no idea what it is. It has tons of tall green leaves that come out of the ground, and they stayed all thru winter. Then it had this shoot up out of it a couple months ago.
(That is another plant/vine that is growing around it. I think sweetpea, but not sure..)

I didnt' take photos of the leaves that it was growing out of but here is the plant once it started to bloom a week or two ago:
and a few closeups of the flowers:

If anyone could help me identify it I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!

I don't know what it is but it's sure pretty!
I'm not sure but I agree with Bridget! It's pretty!
It looks like wild asparagus - but I have no diea if it blooms.
when the thing shot out I thought it looked sorta like asparagus at first too, but it isn't.
Thanks Bridget and Juley, and i was just doing some more seaching and think it might be a type of yucca, but not completely sure..
I am now 100% sure that it is a yucca. We had one that was taller than me growing in our yard in FL and it never bloomed while we were living there. I was told last month that this year it shot out a bloom that was way taller than our house. I wish I could have seen it..
does it smell? I'm sure if you take the picture with yuo to the library someone can help you!
It is very pretty whatever it is.

i'm voting in the yucca category. :)
I'm not sure.
don't know
I thought it looked like asparagus, but when it flowered it looked like yucca. We have tall green leaves, and our neighbors have tall green leaves with flowers like that. Maybe ours will flower one day.
Yes, this is definately wild asparagus!!
Looks like maybe the leaf and flower are toxic? But sometimes the root is edible.
Thought you might enjoy these (if you haven't aready looked it up yourself). :)
