Bernie Madoff Gets Sentenced to 150 years in Federal prison after facing some of his victims. There is no parole in Federal Prison. He apologized to his wife, family, and victims. Big deal!
We won't get all of his years as he won't live long enough, and his victims won't get their money back. It's a lose lose situation. I was scammed out of $20,000 once, and I know how hard that was, but we were young and have recouped somewhat, but how do you ever really recoup from something stolen from you like that?

I haven't had the TV on today so I hadn't heard this news.....I glad he didn't get off with a slap on the wrist. But, you're right, he won't live long enough to serve his sentence and the people he hurt will never recover from this.
what is a 'slap on the wrist'?
It's a term used to describe a very light punishment.
Couldn't happen to a nicer more deserving guy!
i know very little about what he did. and he scammed people. well its really hard to get your money back once you are scammed. why not sell all his properties and all his families' properties and then the money divided fairly to all the victims.
ill be doing some googling on this one too a lil later... want to read what the victims feelings on this one.
I am hoping that he and his wife lose everthing to pay pack as much as possible. The process is in motion.
He deserves every year of that sentence plus some.
I hope he lives a long, long healthy life.
I just hope they find all his hidden money.
