July 20th, 1958 - June 28th, 2009 Pittsburgh is mourning another great man today. Billy Mays, the television pitchman known for his boisterous hawking of products such as Orange Glo and OxiClean, has died. He was 50. Mays, who was born and raised in McKees Rocks, graduated from Sto-Rox High School. He left the Pittsburgh area in the early 1990s to sell products on the boardwalk in Atlantic City.
His mother still lives here in the city and has a Notary business, She was going to see him because he was to have a hip replacement. This was on the local news at 5pm. wpxi.com

That is so sad.
Sure is Pam. Thanks for viewing.
I saw that tonight, so sad. I didn't know he was from the Rox...
HI Danielle, I guess he started here with Orange Glo. It is so sad. I wonder if it was from the bump on the head last night?
Have a nice evening now.

Hi Tammie, I don't think they know yet.
I heard that. Sorry to hear that. He sure did holler about the products. LOL!
I was surprised when I heard this passing as well as the others..you just never know.
I was SO surprised when I heard about this today -- then we saw a commercial with him in it and the kids were all pointing it out.
Oh my, thi is so very, very sad......I will wear blue tomorrow in memory of him!
Well, he got bonked in the head on the plane, the day before. I wonder if he had a head bleed?
Hmm...that would make sense....like what happed to the actress Natasha Richardson.

Too many deaths lately. Very sad.
So very sad.
I didn't see this until just now, but I did, by coincidence, wear a blue tshirt today. He used to annoy me a lot, but I had a soft spot for him after seeing that show in Discovery and also that funny video he made at some drive-thru.
Sure got my attention with his shouting about the different products he sold! I liked him.
so sorry. I know he had a good following. I hear now, that he had a heart attack. Rest in peace Billy..
he was a go-getter thats for sure..... a sad turn of events for him and his family
