I have lost 7 lbs. this week. I am barely 5 foot tall, and weigh 120 pounds. Here's my issue: I am not dieting and certainly not exercising. I am in bed most of the week. So why the weight loss? I'm getting concerned. I am going to the doctor on Tuesday, and I will ask him, but I'm not complaining, but if I keep up the pace I will disappear in 120 days.

when you eat less calories than you burn you loose weight
I want what you are doing??!! LOL I've lost 25 lbs since last Sept. I'd like it to come off faster.........faster............faster....LOL
I'd definitely see your Dr. Do you have diabetes? I'm sure he will check for everything.
I am on Metformin for Diabetes, and lost a lot of weight on that, but now, I'm sitting around doing more than nothing. I would think my weight would just level out.
7lbs in a week isn't good, I'd talk to your doctor about it
That's what I think.
You just had surgery, right? Well, it sounds like a cliche', but healing takes energy. What you're eating is going into making those cells and knitting parts back together. And you're probably not drinking enough. It's a big problem with post-surgical patients. Drink at least a half-glass (4 oz) of liquid (preferably water) every two hours, whether you're thirsty or not. Coffee, tea and caffienated soft drinks don't count. Ginger Ale, Seven-Up and stuff like that is OK, but don't drink "diet" stuff while you're healing.
You sound like my hubby.
You didnt upset a gypsy did you? Makes me think of the book Thinner by Stephen King
Well Carol, once you discover the secret to your success about losing weight while laying in bed, you can publish a book and make millions! I'll be your first sale!
You are probably loosing muscle from being inactive - your doctor should be VERY concerned I think.
Good luck!
I have been taking metformin for several year, havn't lost any weight,
I always lose 5 to 10 lb. after surgery. My problem is keeping it off.
Definitely check with your doctor.
Maybe you are burning more calories gathering:)
Let's hope you don't disappear..good idea to check in with the doctor..
Your body gets rid of stuff you don't use like muscle and bone. You need to exercise to maintain your strength and health.
