Some of our really good friends just had their first baby, and there is all kinds of hype stirring around them right now. They are the first younger couple in our church to have a baby and so all of the older parents are gushing out sentiments and wisdom and all of the younger college age folks are just in awe. They get multiple visitors every day, which is an awesome thing about having a strong group of people in community for your church.
I've been trying to serve them in practical ways, but I had to do a little research. It's nice when you have sites like these to serve as quality pregnancy resources for new parents and anyone looking to learn about babies. One of the things I read was how it is really helpful to have a lot of blankets around at first because the baby is always wetting whatever he or she is around. So, I decided to go shopping. I went on the web and found this great new store, BlanketMyBaby, which has several unique baby blankets. Particularly, I looked in their swaddle section and found a beautiful, organic swaddling blanket. Since their son is so small, swaddling is perfect for him to keep him snug and sleeping. He needs all the sleep he can get to grow. I learned also that swaddling can help prevent SIDS. So, I'm glad I was able to give them a gift that was both practical and had solid medical benefits.

sounds like a good gift! :)
Definitely better than the umpteen hundred useless gadgets people always want to throw at new babies.
I usually get people some clothes for babies over 9 months. They grow so fast and you always end up with a ridiculous amount of newborn clothes and nothing for when they get older, lol!
I wish them luck on their new bundle. you sound like you got them a great gift.
good idea!
