Last night, Gilly woke us up by tossing her cookies in bed with us. Joy! I wound up staying up till almost 8am with her, making sure she didn't start throwing up while she was still asleep. When she had the first time, she was barely awake.
I finally got a few hours of sleep, and woke up to Chris getting sick, too. Hopefully, no one else will get it. Gilly hasn't thrown up since just before I woke up, but she still has a fever.
It's miserable being sick any time, but especially when it's already so warm outside. :(

Oh my goodness. This is not good. Is the fever high? If it is, perhaps you should call the Dr. and have them checked. You can't be too careful with this new flu going around.
It's not real high, about 99-100. If it persists, though, I plan to take them to the urgent care in town.

Something's been going around in my area too.
Whatever it is, it is like what people commonly refer to as "stomach flu" (which is a misnomer anyway).
People just feel nauseous all the time and spend a lot of time sitting on the toilet.
It also seems like it takes forever to get completely over it.
I'm sorry to hear that they are both sick. I hope they recover fast, and that no one else gets it.

just make sure they get fluids and a LOT of them. even if you have to make some popcicles, just no red or orange, hard to get out of fabrics when they get on clothes or blankets.
They've been drinking powerade so far, and they aren't balking at drinking at all (sometimes, it's a pain to get fluids into sick kids).
i thought maybe the popcicles would help with the fever too

I hate being sick in the summer too, fortunately it has been a few years since that happened to me.

Bless their hearts. It just makes things all around miserable when your kiddos are sick. Hopefully it will just be the 24 hour flu and will be gone in no time.
