Around our house the #1 meal I can make seems to be a plain ole meatloaf. So that is what we had for dinner last night.
Ingrediants before mixing

Some of the things I put in my meatloaf

Just have to have Heinz ketsup (as we say in the burgh )on hand
I put ketchup all over the top and spread with a spoon. I forgot to take that picture and also the one of the meatloaf after it was baked. The guys grab it so fast I didn't have time to snap a shot. It turned out good and we had baked potatoes and corn on the cob to go with it.
Topped off with a glass of iced sun tea.
Hope you enjoyed our meatloaf dinner. Thanks for viewing it.

I'd certainly enjoy this. You use many of the same ingredients that I do when I make it. My problem is I never make it the same way twice and my teen gets very upset with me, lol. Mustard? Interesting, I put ground mustard in my seasonings, but haven't yet tried the bottle/jar type in meatloaf. I will do this.
Thanks for posting this to Family Friendly Foods & Recipes.
Hi Katie your welcome. I only put about a teaspoon but it does give it a nice taste. Thanks again for viewing. And sometimes I put a few pieces of bacon on top also. But since I have Dave on a diet I didn't this time.
Ughh...
I don't know why, but I never really took a likeing to meatloaf. Glad that you like it though!
Thanks for viewing Palmer.
that looks really good
Thanks Angela
Mmm! We haven't had meatloaf in such a long time. The way my husband makes it, it comes out tasting almost more like his meatballs but delicious either way!
Did you say meatballs?? I love them. I guess a meatloaf is a big meat ball.
Thanks for stopping by Melanie.
sounds yummy!
We love meat loaf here too.. :)
Meatloaf has long been a favorite of our family as well! My husband and youngest son would rather have it over almost any other meal.
Hi Kimberly, Dave is the same way. Now I could eat Spaghetti every other day.
Looks great~
I make mini meatloaves using a muffin pan, add box of stuffing mix, 1 cup of water, dab of garlic powder and put a small spoonful of bbq in the center before putting in oven. After about 30 minutes, I put a few small slices of cheese on top and cook for another 5 mins until melted. It is a huge hit with my family and you don't have to wait as long for a regular meatloaf.
We like meatloaf. Sometimes I even stuff it. When I make meatloaf I also make meatballs at the same time. Then I freeze alot. We have meatballs in sketti, make meatball subs, stuff large shells with them, etc. So, I spend a whole day making it all at one time. I add a little italian sausage in mine. Gives it a good zip.
Oh Yeah !!
An American classic. Sadly, I've had to give it up. Too many reactions to the onions and ketchup; but oh so yummy.
Have you tried to make it without?
Thanks for the tip, Amanda.
Yes, we have; and it certainly tastes good to me, although noticeably different. The thing is that we only make meatloaf when other family members are coming over. Those folks prefer the standard, over the exception; and I don't blame them. I figure it's better for me to go without than to dissapoint others.
