It has been a really strange day for me. I am really begining to believe that Brianne does indeed have a cold. Brayden seems to be feeling better.
Now for the update on me-
I will have to have a minor procedure done. I have a absece or aka a boil. They have put me on Antibotics, and wed. I have to go back and have it drained. I am not looking forward to this, as they told me they won't be able to numb due to the infectioon under the skin. So luckily my hubby has the day off and hopefully I will be able to drive. Thanks so much for all the prayers and thoughts, they are much appericated. I am off to put a warm compress on me and maybe get it to drain on its own.
I wil be back tomorrow...

My husband had the same thing late last year. Fortunately he did not need to have it drained, but he was on antibiotics for a while and I cleaned it for him daily (it was on his back). Don't worry too much. It should be fine. Draining it will help it heal faster. Make sure that anyone who helps you with bandages or cleaning washes their hands well. The infection under the skin is usually a staph type infection.
wow thanks for the heads up... question if it drains on it own do i still need to go in??? cause i am starting on warm compresses tonight
I would!
thank you kerrell...
The warm compresses will help. But, definitely go see your doctor. Staph infections are nothing to fool around with. It may be that when he examines you, he'll decide you don't need the minor surgery. My husband's boil began as a pimple on his back. It continued to get larger and larger over the period of a couple of years. It just never went completely away. Finally it became painful and that's when he went to the doctor. For the most part, I helped it drain and cleaned it with peroxide every day and he took the antibiotics. It will not go away until the core of the boil is gone and sometimes surgery is required for that. The core is usually deep and is hard. I would at least get an opinion from your doctor. Good luck, honey!
Sorry I know nothing medical
i hope you'll be okay soon
At least it's nothing too, too serious, and it can be taken care of. Try not to stress too much!
good luck....and I hope the kids are better soon too.
hhmmm I'venever had a boil drained...nor taken anti biotics...or ever went to the doctor over one! I did have a boyfriend once that opened one up on my back and sucked it out.....never again!
I hope you get it taken care of, painful things boils! Take care and use the compresses.
No fun! I hope it heals ok!
Sorry to hear this sweetie. Take extra good care of yourself while you heal!!
i get boils often it get to the point I can drain them myself, before it get bad
take care of you self,,,
Hopefully it'll drain on it's own and while you'll still go back to the Dr., it might not be necessary to do the surgery. Good luck to you...

I sure hope getting it drained will help! PN
My daughter had one in her arm pit once. It was a painful procedure but doesn't last long.

Still praying. Let us know how it goes on Wed.
Same issue developed with my sister in law! It was drained but then had to be eventually removed but all went well and it eventually healed up nicely! Thank you for the update and God bless you and your's!
