At first I thought it was a prank since I had heard one a couple of years ago ... Anyway the text said Michael Jackson had died of cardiovascular disease. Having at first been disbelieving I finally believed her and now it's getting annoying all over the T.V.,news and Internet.
I understand he was a celebrity, with all the media and accusations from previous years which I doubt were true. Now everyone seems upset which I can understand. He was a well liked singer and a big spender whop left behind a lot of debt he will be missed. So that's my opinion on Michael Jackson.

Someone mentioned that to me yesterday and I thought they were joking. It must be true, given the ammount of coverage.
Any new story that totally dominates the news can become annoying very quickly.
it is about the ONLY story on the news I turned the tv off
It was a big story yesterday about him and Farah Faucett. Both are sad but I'm not to upset over either one myself.
If Farrah Fawcett had not died before Michael, he would never find his way to heaven . . . He needs an 'angel' to guide him home; but maybe now he has slim chance ! Too bad there was not more about Farrah's passing and ALL about Michael. If he had embraced who he was BEFORE all the changes he made to himself, i.e. the 'whitening agent' he had been injected time and time agian with, I may have more sympathy or evn empathy, but I don't . . .
Interesting a lady named Farrah Fawcett died the same day and minimal coverage. How is it that one life is more important than the other.
I agree 100% ! I did not need several hours of news on just him, I realize people are saddened and such, but devote the time to Farrah as well. Along with the other lives that might not be in the public sptolight~
Our poor excuse of a newspaper gave Michael front page coverage... Farrah got shoved to page two!
Not only shoved to page two but a very small article in comparison to the larger one on the front page. Her plight with anal cancer is far more important than a pitiful man who may have been a great singer BUT c'mon, he hated himself . . . she just wanted her life back. I will miss her more than ever ! I wrote about her in my womens health page . . .

He was a huge Pop Icon to tens of millions of people, so I know all this news coverage and buzz is appropriate, but it grates on me too. I just really don't need dozens of non-stop hours of information on anyone's life and career; even the people that I personally hold in the highest esteem. Yet, this is our culture; and he was a primary player.
May God Rest His Soul
I was here....and i must agree with Sharon
I would have been content with the scroll at the bottom of the TV announcing he had cardiac arrest, and then an announcement that he had passed away. It is sad for both him and Farrah who I admired in her fight against cancer, still think she deserved more privacy, don't have to tell the kind of cancer she died from, although I understand she documented it. Jackson, now it seems is probably drug connecte, prescription or otherwise.
I am so glad Farrah admitted to which type of cancer was ravaging her gorgeous body and valuable soul; without her testimony and story, we might have never known how this disease manifests and what to do as options. I admired her for being so very brave, willing to reveal her most private functions and of course that she died before Michael so that he may have an 'angel' to guide him home cause he needs all the help he can get !
Yes, it really has gotten very annoying....there is nothing else on t.v. except coverage on the death of Michael Jackson......now they are saying drugs are involved.......he's been taking a shot of Demeral practically every day for quite some time.....that's been the first drug that has been explicitly stated that he was taking.....a plastic bag of all sorts of drugs/pills was found in his house, so extensive investigation is being done on them.
It makes me a bit upset that there's not more coverage on Farrah Fawcett's death....there have been a few things on the Internet but nothing compared to Michael Jackson.
I agree what made his death so much more worthy off all the coverage and Farrah's struggle with cancer has just blown over.
It just seems that 'pop culture icons' are more important than those that gave their life to being real and having been diagnosed with something rare as her type of cancer was, it saddens me that the world is so focused on the 'moonwalk' instead of the long battle to survive !
They are re running Farrahs story here tonight.
for sanity's sake I will keep my opinion to myself.
LOL, but yet here you are posting an article about him too.....
I know!
This is just so sad. Although we really don't know for certain what caused Michael Jackson to die, as we are waiting on toxicology tests.
I am totally over all the celeb stuff. I am sick of their self promotions and I am sick of the false "CARING" they show with sad faces when they pass away, yet when they were here, they take potshots from the peanut gallary and laugh at them.
Media people are 2 faced sadistic minded excuses for human beings. Pack dogs with adjustable remote control rubber faces.
I saw a part of a show where the presenter was showing remorse at MJ's passing, yet only a week ago he was making fun of him, now he is making ??? $100,000 ++++ for putting together a special tribute on him.
They should name media people after the ABBA song:
Money money money in my pockets
let another celeb die and fall out of the tree
so I can line my pockets with your moneeeeee,
oh ya I can laugh all night long,
cry when you loose your song,
come along....die for me I need a new Ferrari
Money money money can't you see
while I laugh at you I am wealthyyyyyyyy
but when you die I make more money than leaves on a tree
Money money money
come on rise to fame and die for me
I need to buy me that new Ferrari
Let me celebrate in the tears of your fans
let me wipe my eyes with greenbacks so grand
money money money is why my life is so grand.
I could care less about Jackson. It is always sad when someone dies celeb or hobo. It makes no difference to me.
I had heard last night about Micheal's passing and I had been shocked to say the least.
It's very sad when anyone's life is snuffed out way too soon.
I was bothere by the little coverage that Farrah received and she suffered
Golds, I am wth you on that. Thanks for sharing
the only text I got on my phone was hours after I had already heard he had died and the text just stated he had been rushed to the hospital
Margaret Platt, you took the words right out of my mouth I couldn't agree with you more!
It's starting to get old hearing about him on the news
Another celeb with too many doctors........and not enough good sense.......
ur opinion is sober
Unfortunately, not good doctors from the sound of it.
He never had a real childhood, then spent the rest of his life trying to get it back.
It's sad.
Micheal Jackson was a pedophile, so he was rich and could sing? Isn't this where most progs ask what he did for others?
All this does is cover up the mess our government continues to dump onto us.....
He was at one point in his life a talented performer that I admired. With his later chaos, the admiration vanished and to be honest with you I am sick of hearing about him. I would much rather be seeing coverage on other things besides him...so I have decided to keep the televisions off for a while.
I agree - - - off to play Wii with my hubby! Boomblox rocks!
Ha! Funny you should mention that. My in-laws just got us one yesterday for my stepson. He and my hubby have been practicing the games that came with it (sports). I will have to look into some games I may find interesting and since you mention Boomblox, I will check that one out.
Hope you and your hubby enjoyed your gaming yesterday and are having a wonderful Sunday.
I thought it was a joke at first too.
Life is so short.
I got your email and am responding...my thoughts on Michael Jackson is that God is his judge...he was a son, father, brother, friend, and much more to many people..we are all human...I was sad to hear of his passing..I spent the night at my girlfriend Rosie's house and all the radio played was his songs..it was nice.
I heard it from a janitor at a department store, it was shocking. He left a mark on the music industry that is unequalled; losing Farrah Faucett the same day was equally sad.
IT IS VERY SAD THAT HE HAS PASSED AWAY
ditto
Kilroy
was
here.................
50........
and $500 million in debt.......................
When someone as big as he was and controversial as he was. There is going to be a lot of stuff on the internet and TV. It will die down eventually.
