I just had to write my very own tribute to a really great American Icon
Farrah Fawcett (February 2, 1947 - June 25, 2009)
I will remember her most for her role as Jill Munroe, private investigator in the TV series Charlie's Angels and who can forget that infamous poster in the bathing suit!!!!!
She was one of my favorite pop culture actresses and yes, I even wore my hair as she did through the 70's. For me she was she was Princess Di before there was a Princess Di.
The "Angels" to many women like myself; the "angels" were the perfect transitional feminists -- pretty girls who didn't take themselves too seriously but who could handle the bad guys. This was female empowerment.
This is what Ryan O'Niel said today in an interview with People Magazine.
"''She's now with her mother and sister and her God ... I loved her with all my heart,'' ''I will miss her so very, very much.''

So sad. I also wore my hair like her. :)
I saw Ryan talking a day or so ago and he said just as soon as Farrah could say, "Yes" they would finally be married.
She put up a good fight, so sad.
She was my favorite angel.
