WELCOME!

Welcome to the "Vertically Challenged Stories” book club.  I wanted to create a book club that accommodates  busy schedules and entices anybody to join regardless of their reading preference.  I specifically hope to promote reading through short stories and expand appreciation of modern literature across the different genres

I will be choosing a new short story for review every two weeks.  There are so many to choose from, that I needed to set up a few rules to guide my selection.

1. Each short story must have won a nationally recognized award in the previous 15 years.
2. Each short story must be over 1,000 and under 20,000 words.
3. No genre will be considered twice in two months.

There is also an actual meeting planned for each short story review, so if you live in the Stafford, Virginia area, I hope you take the time to stop by Borders for a cup of coffee and some discussion.
