Transfering Gather Accounts, the photo part

This isn't going to go the same way as the transfering of my articles did.
For one thing, I can't just copy and paste the comments because I'll be posting the pics in albums instead of in articles.
Another problem is the photos themselves... due to the same virus that messed up my old Gather account, I had to take all of my photos off of the hard drive of my computer. They are on 3 DVDs, which I put away for safekeeping while we repaired the hard drive... and now I can't remember where "away" is. Therefore, in order to find my images, I'll either have to search the apartment for those DVDs (easier said than done) or I'll have to go back through my original CDs with all of my photos and see how many of my Gather images I can find.
The third issue is that I have a lot of photos. I've had a camera in my hands since I was 2 years old (no, not the same one, LOL!) and photography is kind of second nature for me. Even in the little time since I first got my digital camera, the images have built up, and I have a ton of CDs to go through.
So... I've kind of decided on a compromise between the two. While I am still trying to find those DVDs (which contain images not saved anywhere else) I will begin posting images from my collection of CDs of my photography. That way, I can still feed my Gather addiction, share my art, and feel like I am showing off while still remaining humble enough to admit I've stupidly misplaced something that is very important to me (but which I will find!). This means that those of you who have been here for awhile and have visited my old account will see some re-posts of images which aren't titled re-posts because I'll be posting them to albums, and they'll probably be mixed in with newer photos or photos not previously posted as well.
In the meantime, I hope all of my Gather friends can be as patient with my absentminded ways as my family has been over the years.
And now... time to start posting photos! :)
