She is very sad that he is gone but I thought I would share some of the pictures with you all. It was a very sad day for his family and us as well. I know me and my family miss him as well as his family. He will be gone for eight and a half weeks in basic training and then a couple of months for training school. It is very strange not having him around. I keep waiting for him to come over and visit or pick up my daugther.

I am sure he will be missed but it is exciting that he is embarking on a great start to his future.
He was excited but he told me he wasnt worried about his self just my daugther. I really believe he loves her. He spoke very highly of her to me and my husband both. He told me she made him very strong. And then he said she is very strong as well. So she is doing good she has broke down a couple of times
I bet it is hard for her
Yes it is Renee but she is doing okay
What a wonderful memory!
Yes it is Kelly and I am so glad I got to share it with his family and mine
So sad indeed. I wish him all the best and I hope your daugther will get a chance to speak to him once in a while too to relieve her sadness.
No timi she doesnt get to talk to him only letters while in basic training
I am sure he will be missed. God bless him.
Yes, he is. He is such a great kid and he is so missed in this house.
May God Bless Him and Your Daughter through this Difficult Time of their Lives !!
PIF
Thanks Candice keep them in your prayers he is in Texas
How is your daughter doing with his absence?
She is doing okay Kat she gets sad so I have to keep her going she sleeps with this big duck he bought her and she has some of his clothes. She practially runs down the mailman hoping she has a letter nothing yet. She was crying the other night. She dont want to do much outside of our house. I am worried about her. It hurts to see her hurt.
Congrats to him! I still remember the day I left for the Air Force.... in 1984!!
that's really sad... well heres hoping that the day will go by fast...
How is your daughter handling him being away?
My daughter would be heartbroken if her boyfriend was not around on a daily basis! Good luck to him and thank him for serving our country!
I've went through this a few times with a couple friends of mine ... Try and stay strong for him.
We are trying to stay strong for them both. It is hard at times I keep thinking he is gonna come in the door but knowing in my mind he isnt. His mom says she feels so empty. It is hard but he is so happy to be there except for missing his family and us. We all are very close so it isnt easy. He is such a great kid and so very smart. He wants this very much. So it is hard to know he wont be around for awhile. I think I was crying as much as his mom the day he left. I am sure she has cried more than anyone. So we are keeping him in our prayers. IF you have time will you say a prayer for him too.
sad for her but I bet you are all very proud of him too - pif
yes we are Denise
I greatly admire him for wanting to serve/defend our country! I am sure you are all very proud of him!
Just stopping by to PIF>>>
Well, good for him! I still think my time in the Air Force was the best job I ever had; just didn't pay much at the time, LOL. I sure learned a lot though, had a great time, got to travel to neat places, and it helped me get a great job afterwards when I got out. I've often wished I had stayed in too... ;-) I'm sure he will do well, my best to him and your daughter/family.
