I went and got my test done to today and it was a painless and simple procedure but it was the scariest half hour i have ever had!. I kept thinking, maybe they lied, condoms give almost no protection, blah blah blah. I went in, scared as hell, did the mouth swab (under upper lip, under bottom lip) and then the wait.. i got my paper (and free condoms and lube to boot :D) and i'm negative for HIV :D *GIANT SIGH OF RELIEF*!!! (you can also choose if you want the test to be confidential (to have your name) or anonymous (to not have your name :P))
If you think you have HIV or even if you think you don't it is great to get tested and to know for sure. Always play it safe (which i am so doing from now on cause that scared the shit outta me, even being completely sure i still had my doubts) and always remember to get tested. Better safe than sorry, to know than the spread it without intention unti lit's to late to do anything about it. I've posted a couple links on the bottom here with information and most important where you can find your closest testing facility.

Yeah !!!
I totally agree!
some wonderful advice here
In 92 I lost an awesome friend Scot to aids I still morn him
i'm sorry to hear about that *hug* Aids is a terrible thing and i hope i'll never have to go through, contracting it myself, or having to watch anyone else i know go through it. i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. much love to you vivian
I've been to the hospital to be with friends who have died of AIDS. It's a horror. I hope they FIND A CURE !!!
I have lost two friends to this horrid disease, and have one who is currently doing fantastic on a protocol. Hopefully, they will find a cure while his viral load is still low.
I get tested as standard proceedure whenever I have any blood work done. I remain HIV negative. But then again, I guess I'd have to have sex with someone other than myself to even worry about being infected.
aww poor rob aint gettin any *hug*
Woody Allen said, "Don't knock masturbation ... at least it's sex with somebody you love"
ha ha
lmao unless you don't love yourself, then your kinda screwed..
screwed ???
nice
well not in the literal tense, but in the bad not getting kinda way like rob :P
YOU GUYS are too much, glad you can bring some giggles to such a serious subject... I hope I never have to deal with losing someone to this disease.. I have been with my husband for over 19 years, I was tested when I got pregnant for my first baby in 1990.. It was so scary, because being a bit on the wild side in the late 80's both of us were worried, but we were both cleared!
Anyone who runs the risk of being exposed needs to get tested. Scary yes but it is better to know.
Thanks! Even a virtualy hug is more than I've been getting in I don't know how long...from anyone.
de nada mi amigo
To be clear, folks... CONDOMS DO OFFER PROTECTION FROM HIV - EXCELLENT PROTECTION!
IF they are used properly, 100% of the time, and have not been stored incorrectly. Unfortunately, the way people use them greatly decreases the effectiveness.
great info Jeremy... being the mom of 2 teenagers I SO HEAR you!! my daughter had a herpes scare last year and she is so careful now!! I think the nurse practioner screwed up myself, but it was a good lesson for her!! no glove, no love!!! end of story!
exactly can't go home clean without a raincoat for the dude
great idea, better safe than sorry in the long run.
this is now featured on ~9911~ Goal getters
thanks for posting to ~9911~
Thanx so much for the feature :D safe than sorry is always a good idea when it comes to your health
I took my 21 year old son in to get tested. I have been in a monogamous relationship with my husband for 22 years. Better to be safe than sorry.
Just plain old good advise and simple common sense. Thanks.
I got tested and negative. But I doubt that my right hand will give me aids. Especially since I injured it and my love life has been ruined.
ROFL. You made me laugh, thanks!
