Recycling and Fundraising for groups

Do you like to live a green life?

Do you know of a non-profit organization/school that needs a fundraiser?

I just found out about an AWESOME way to do both! I'm super excited because I'm the coordinator for Box Tops For Education, Tyson A+ Labels for Education and Home Team Rewards for my homeschool group. I'm always happy to learn of other sites to help raise funds because it gives our group an opportunity to provide some field trips and extra curricular learning opportunities to our kids without costing the families more money.

The site is called Terracycle and it pays for recycling the following types of items:

Juice pouches

Candy bar wrappers

cookie wrappers

yogurt containers

Bear Naked pouches

Kashi packaging

Cell phones

Frito Lay chip bags (although it says zero spots open right now)

Flavia Freshpaks

energy bar wrappers

toasted chips packaging

corks (also says zero spots open right now)

It also looks like they are hoping to get a plastic bottle one available soon as well. They are looking for a company to sponsor that.

But, that's a heck of alot of opportunities to raise funds for  your group! You do have to sign up for each one individually and you have to provide the tax ID of the organization.

Also, individuals can sign up to recycle (no postage costs either) and donate your "earnings" to a charity of your choice that is listed. If you need one to choose, please pick "Boynton Delray Group PEC" which is my homeschool association.
