When I mentioned that I was going to order some books, as soon as I got enough Swagbucks and other things together for some dollars in my Amazon.com account, Walker pulled a $50 Borders gift card out of his wallet, that he'd ordered about 3 days before Gather introduced PayPal, which had been there ever since. Of course if he'd known there would be PAyPal, he woudln't have ordered that card, but hindsight is 20/20, and we had a card that we coudln't do anything with. We used to go to Borders in Phoenix quite often, but at this time, we didn't have a vehicle. He also had a $50 Amazon card that he'd accidentally ordered when he meant to get a $50 PayPal payment. The Amazon card went to Cory for his 18th birthday (our mutual idea), and the Amazon card sat in his wallet. Tonight he decided to give it to me, to put to good use. What a sweet husband I have. I ordered about $43 worth of stuff (shipping included), so two good books. We'll use the balance of the card in a month or so, when I get a bit more money on my Bank of America card. Bank of America's add it up program works for Border's, so we'll get some cash back, then. For now, I'm just glad to have been able to order two books, and pay for shipping, with no money out of pocket.
I can't wait till they get here. This is what I ordered.

Wow, that's really fantastic!!!!! The books sound very interesting!!! I love to read and it seems like I always have 3 or 4 books going at the same time! I have way too many books around here and haven't been spending the time reading this year as I should......so, I'm trying to catch up and have been reading a lot lately! I just finished a fantastic, but heartbreaking book, called "Final Salute," and did a review here.....it's the very best book I've ever read! Anyhow, congrats and happy reading to you!
Heavy reading for summer!! I'd probably just stay at Amazon if I could. That 'Cornucopia II' book of edible world plants I got is amazing. Maybe the next edition should include some seed samples? I guess I'm saving up to buy a little more technology now. Something to read all the books with? Thanks for posting this!
