...asked if Walker and I wanted to have coffee with her and a friend of hers on July 13th. Her hubby is working that day, and she doesn't drive, but for whatever reason she and a friend of hers (the guy who did my mother's hair for Walker's and my wedding) will be in Guelph, so she's asked the two of us to get together with them at Second Cup. I've never met Michael, but I've heard a lot about him from Becky, and from Mom, and can't wait to meet him.
She called me on my cellphone, and I was on the bus at the time, predictably, on my way to the cafe. LOL The nice thing about Second Cup is that it's got a big parking lot, and a nice out-door patio. Becky has a little dashchund that she takes everywhere with her. I think he's about 9 years old now. I asked the people at the cafe if he could sit within the limits of the patio with us (even though it's outside, some places are picky about animals on the premises AT ALL) and they said "go for it!" So Becky, Michael, Euri (her pup), Walker and I are going to get together for coffee on July 13th. She's not sure when they will be in town, but Walker and I are flexible. She'll call, as soon as she gets a time, and let us know.
It'll be nice, because I've had her birthday gift here since May. LOL We'll finally be able to give it to her.
Walker and Becky are actually like two peas in a pod, when it comes to the way they love animals. If we had the money, I'm sure we'd be living in a house full of cats, not unlike my sister's house.
Woohoo!!!

That is wonderful, it is always great to be able to spend time with family.
It sure is! Now that I think of it, we haven't seen my sister since Christmas. She lives out of town and doesn't drive, and neither hubby nor I drive. She prefers living in a small town, we like a larger city, and we're not exactly neighbours. LOL Since she's got a friend who is going to drive her in for the day, we'll all be able to get together.
that is really cool, I am a cat lover too, I am down to three cats again, but I don't think we can take care of more than that that is our limit now.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Walker has talked about wanting a kitten, and I would LOOOOOOOOOVE a kitten, or two, or a whole dang basket full of the little furballs, but we can't really afford one now, so we're going to wait and see what happens with the finances. Maybe some day.
do you still have shakti?
Yup! We sure do. Check out my videos. You'll see all kinds of videos of us playing with him.
that sounds like fun!
I'm sure it will be.
I'm sure you will have a great time!
Oh, how fun and at your favorite place too!
It sounds like fun.
We would have a whole houseful of pets if they weren't so much trouble to take care of. ;) We already have three dogs and a cat. We briefly had a second cat (he passed away...we've never given a pet away, we feel that pets are part of the family), and would like to get another one sometime soon. My husband has said that we will never again have three dogs at the same time, though, because the third one is just too much trouble.
