Are you a follower or a leader?
I am neither one or the other but can be one or the other at different times depending on the circumstances at work or at play; in my professional life or personal life.
Let's discuss.

I am neither also...I am a loner!
Donna, you can't be a loner if you've got me around.
the internet was the greatest invention for people with social aneixty..it has allowed me to meet and "talk" to wonderful people..like you Esther.
I tend to try to lead, but I can follow if need be
force myself really, really hard
I understand about the following part. It takes me some work.
I know what you mean about the forcing yourself. I once had a dance partner tell me that he was going to break my arm if I didn't put it down. I wanted to lead. heeheehee!
I can do either ~ it depends on the situation.
Hey Elizabeth!!
Me too!
I do whatever is needed at the time. Generally I am independent and just "coach" if other people have problems. When it comes to charisma, I an totally lacking.
That sounds neat. I've never heard of leading as a form of coaching but of course it is.
What you no charisma?? Nawww.
Trust me on this. I am not good looking (though for someone my age I have hair and am slender) and I have a "studious" personality. I would make a miserable salesman or rabble rouser. I lead more by suggestion than by personality.
neither one. I am like you. I can do both. there are days I have to lead at work to get things going. at home, I consider myself a "coach" to get the girls to learn things on there own.
Depends on the situation
Me too!
I am naturally a follower...but if instructed to, I can lead....lol....:)
I'm circumsized.
Which means he surgically removes four people from around him who would challenge his leadership qualities for religious or cultural reasons. :)
I tend to be a loner myself.
But, if the situation arose, I would rather be a leader than a follower.
Case in point was in sixth grade. When a new girl came to our school, someone spread a rumor around that she called other girls in my friend group a Bi***
Well, they got into their heads to gang up on her and beat her up. I heard about this and I was outraged. I told them in no certain terms that if they had a problem with her, take it up with her one on one. And, that what they were doing was wrong.
And, that they should talk to her and not just assume anyway because people tend to spread lies all the time.
Well, long story short, I walked her home from school every day, after we got off the bus. I ignored my friends and refused to speak to them till they came to their senses.
Finally one day, they did as I advised and actually talked to her and we were all friends after that again.
I will never tolerate bullying of any kind. Ever.
I tend to be more of a follower, but if i have to be or want to be, i can be a leader. Just depends on the situation. I don't normally like to be in a leadership position, it's hard to get out of once you're there, and i can be flighty or impulsive under certain conditions.
I'm a leader in the workplace. As a partner, in the privacy of my own home, I am a follower (or submissive, if one wants to get technical. ;) ).
follower hate being in charge..
well now.......i can lead if i choose but i do not choose......i could never be a follower because i am way too independent and don't like anyone to tell me what to do..... for as long as i can remember i have walked to my own drummer.......flesh and blood people in my face i am not fond of.......i am a loner.....i like silence.....i like to listen to my mind.....i am......i am me......
I lead... oldest child syndrome! Professionally and when I was teaching, I was a leader.
But, in the bedroom, I prefer my partner to take charge.
I tend to do neither when I'm getting to know someone, or chose which ever path is necessary for the current situation. Most times I tend to be a leader as I have no trouble talking to or working with others. I tend to be calming and good natured, and allow others to use their strengths. People do tend to gravitate around someone who is open and free thinking. I don't do well with braggards or emotional vampires though, both of which I have met here on Gather.
i'm always the follower. i was the leader once but i still was the follower at heart.
I can be either depending on how much energy i want to put inot a situation
i use to be a leader until i got sick i have a lot of experince
i do my own thing
um
how is this sexy exactly?
When it comes to lovemaking; are you the leader or follower.
Do you initialize?
Are you the prey or are you the hunter?
I really enjoy both roles, but when its my wife who initializes, I tend to have much more fun.
It depends on the situation, and the mood. If it is something I know or am familiar with, I will take a leadership position, especially if I see the need for it. Of course, when it comes to sex, it all depends on the mood baby...
I'm pretty much a loner too
sometimes I lead, sometimes I follow
I don't follow as leaders in the past will tell you when they've tried to get me behind them. I don't lead, either because I don't want to be responsible for a bunch of people I really don't care to have under my guidance. I do my own thing, right or wrong, because it's what I want; not what someone else demands and because I don't want a bunch of nit wits tagging along behind. I simply invite others to join me at my side. They can make their own decision if they want to stand with a winner or get left in my dust.
I am typically a follower, I really dislike being in charge.
Neither, I think in simplist terms I'm an instigator. I like stirring things up.
It depends on the situation. I can play the role of both. I usually let others lead until I am comfortable with them, though.
I alternate between being a follower and a helper. Not really much of a leader.
Like you Ester:
"I am neither one or the other but can be one or the other at different times depending on the circumstances at work or at play; in my professional life or personal life."
Only, when I am the leader, I tend to be quite stubborn.
Shy and timid as I was way into my twenties, I simply was a follower. As a teacher, I had to learn to be a leader. I am comfortable in that role and have learned to like it in or out of the classroom. I developed the confidence to lead.
I'm almost always a leader.
I'm a firstborn child, Aries, alpha male type.
I do better in management positions than not.
thanks for sharing!
I'm the same as Donna.
