The afterparty for the one year anniversary of Gay marriage in Bakersfield was held at our organizer's house.
It was a nice time of reflecting, love and just visiting.
There was a few snacks, the tops of cakes (since it is tradition to eat the top of your wedding cake on your anniversary) and champagne and Martinelli's. I tasted the champagne has I never had it before but wasn't crazy about it at all so I stuck to the Martinelli's.
The cakes were freakin' awesome. They were rainbow inside. It's totally something I would have done. I looked it up not that long ago on how to do it and I wish I had gotten to talk to the person who did it because I'd like to know if she did it the way I read about it online.
Anyway, here are pictures from the afterparty.

Me and my darling.

Organizer and her wife. It was their one year anniversary and they looked to be as happy as they were the day they married.

The cakes. The tops had sprinkles and each one had the color of the rainbow. Inside they were rainbows!

Mingling

Close up of one of the cakes. Later Carleen and I cut this together. I then put the pieces on plates for people to take.

Bubbly and Martinelli's

Mmm... the Martinelli's was delish

A friend also took lots of pics

Getting ready to cut the cake. Everyone cut it at the same time and did it with their partner.

She (as were we all), was very impressed that it was rainbow inside.

Happy anniversary you two!

So pretty (the girl and the cake!)

Looks like a good time. And those cakes are amazing and so pretty! You're going to have to make one for us now! LOL
Those cakes are just too cool! I made rainbow muffins once, but the colors didn't come out nearly that vibrant! (And I made a huge mess, lol!)
It sounds like a wonderful celebration.
so kool!! I loved the cakes
