For Father's Day, I am posting two vintage postcards with images related to fatherhood.
Neither of the postcards was mailed, so there are no "personalities" attached to them.
This, the second, postcard bears the legend, "Everybody Works But Father".

In this image, father is laden with three children, a bucket, and a mop. On his head, a candlestand holds a lighted candle.
Dad looks resigned, but gamely offers a weary grin.

I'll have to ask my husband what he thinks, since he's a stay-at-home Dad.
I would like to know what he says!
It's Father's Day so I'm letting him sleep in. It might be a bit.
Dad appears to be a slave laborer...
And, an expert at multi-tasking.
These are great, Peter! This guy reminds me of Jerry Lewis.
(I have been avoiding reading anyone else's Father's Day tributes because I know they'll make me cry.)
I had not thought of it, Janna, but this guy DOES look like Jerry Lewis.
I'm glad that you looked at these Father's Day articles.
Janna's right, this guy does look like Jerry Lewis.
He looks like he do do a comedy routine.
What a wonderful postcard, I love the humor!
Dad looks like a good sport.
He looks a fun dad.
I suspect the care-taking was exhausting, however.
They look like they are having a lot of fun! The wallpaper in the background is interesting. Looks like some my grandma had.
"The wallpaper in the background is interesting."
I hate this wallpaper - it reminds me of visiting boring, elderly relatives in their over-heated houses when I was a child.
I'll bet it was "flocked" and fuzzy feeling.
Even the high-end varieties leave me cold.
