Last night I had what I thought was a dog in the yard.
It was about 7PM and getting really foggy so I couldn't see it very clearly.
I got out the binoculars and sure enough it was a wolf.
No photo this time.... he was too quick.
This is the second time I have seen him in about three weeks (just got back up here) so I am pretty sure he will be back.

awesome!
Interesting to see a wolf. We have Coyotes around here, but we rarely see them
what an awesome sighting !
How very awesome. No wolves here just coyotes.
Not surprisingly, the Russian word for coyote is "Amerikanskiy Volk" (American Wolf).
same here coyotes, no wolves.
We have coyotes too but I researched that last year just to be sure what I was actually seeing. Only ever seen one coyote but you sure can hear them at night.
oh my
Wow! That's neat!
Wow! Do you live in the mountains?
Nope... The cabin is in Northern Wisconsin
In Lake Superior
eeekkkk!! we have them up at girl scout camp and I always worry when I go to the outhouse that they might think this chunky monkey would make a good breakfast...LOL
That must have been fun. We have Wolves and coyotes. But I have only seen one Wolf. and a few coyotes. He must be hungrey if he is comming right up in your yard.
I hope you can get a picture next time.
don't feed it what ever you do, thanks for sharing.......
Awesome!
I think that would scare me.
Anything he/she could want/get into at your place? I bet it is cool to see him/her!
Always keep your camera handy. So much wildlife goes through our backyard and so quickly that I always keep my camera on the table in front of our window wall. But, even then, they usually run too fast unless the stop to get a drink of water from the birdbath.
Ooh, how awesome!
I absolutely love wolves (and they like me). They are actually relatively gentle, social animals. It's a shame that we have so ruined their natural habitat that they have to wander in human spaces because some idiot that believes the bad press they've received over the years will take a pot shot at one.
My mother-in-law has a domesticated wolf. You couldn't want for a more gentle friend.
I agree. He doesn't bother me and in fact this is the second time I have seen him this spring. We have an indoor cat so no worries there. Also, last night my bear friend was back in the yard. Broad daylight just walking through. Then my husband pulled in the drivewway and scared him off before I could get the camera.
They are such pretty animals. We used to go to Gantlinburg to visit an art gallery where the owner had a wolf. Used to love visiting the wolf!!
wish ya could have gotten a pict
