Summer is almost here!
It will arrive at 1:45AM EST tomorrow morning (June 21) to be exact.
While summer arrives at the same moment for everyone, California will ring in the new
season at 10:45PM PST tonight proving that the Beach Boys were right about
California and summer.
Much of the spring season was wet and colder than normal here in the northeast, but
maybe things will change.
I hope so because summer means fun.
If you don't believe me, then listen to that famous 1960's song by Bruce and Terry
(Summer Means Fun) and enjoy the new season!
By the way, Bruce and Terry were Bruce Johnston who would later be a member of the
Beach Boys and Terry Melcher (now dead) who is Doris Day's son and partly famous
for unknowingly being a part of the manson murders in 1969.

It feels like summer should've started already, oh well.

Oh boy - summer in Las Vegas is torturous... yay!
Who goes outside in Las Vegas? I go year round. I simply get into a taxi and exit at another hotel--no sweat, no chills.
Well, since I live here, I do have to go outside pretty regularly... you know, to get the mail, mow the lawn, pick up doggie doo doo, feed the horses.... I don't really go to the hotels or use taxis.... ;o)
Summer in Sin City is indeed so oppressive that my maternal grandparents & I spent there for a week 3 yrs. ago.
It has already hit 100 degrees in Oklahoma. To me, summer started a month ago, even if it wasn't official. : )
In Texas I go out only to walk my dog or to walk from my car into a building. In winter I can bundle up enough to be comfortable.
