A federal judge yesterday sharply questioned an assertion by the Obama administration that former Vice President Richard B. Cheney's statements to a special prosecutor about the Valerie Plame case must be kept secret.
Judge Questions Justice Dept. Effort to Keep Cheney Remarks Secret

I do have to wonder why the Obama adminstration wants to keep this secret as wel. I can perhaps understand sealing the parts of his testimony that are security related but surely not all of it?
Partly so they don't become fodder on the Tonight Show?
What?!?
I didn't mention that part in the headline :) I find that really amusing. I would have thrown the prosecuter out of my courtroom so fast he would have dented the wall on the other side of the door.
*facepalm*
I agree with Beth - what's going on here?
I do not know, but I think that our president wants all attention focused on the recession, healthcare, the war, etc.
Personally, I want the Plame record revealed and the torturers investigated prosecuted if the evidence proves appropriate.
Personally, I think the fact that Cheney flat out lied to the prosecutor at the time. It's since come out that the entire affair was under his direction. If those facts become public, then Cheney is wide open to a perjury charge in any court in the country.
They impeached Clinton for "I did not have sex with that woman." You can imagine what will happen when it comes out that Cheney told a federal investigator "Valerie who?"
Also, Cheney was endangering lives while Clinton was trying to hide his private life. Chaney was using his powers in the Administration and Clinton was using..., well, you know.
I think that Obama is smart and is just drawing attention to the BIG FAT LIAR!
Glad the judge disagreed. All of this should be investigated, and if the facts show that prosecution is called for, then that should happen as well.
