Kennywood Amusement Park is very historic in Pittsburgh. It has been around since 1898. It has gone through many many changes over the years. If you'd like to read about it's history here's the link, Kennywood Park's History.
Here are some photo's from our visit. Some of the famous things to eat there are Potato Patch Fries, Funnel Cake, Homemade Fudge, Salads and Hot sausage sandwiches. Yummy!!
You are allowed to bring picnic lunches if you wish. There is a bit of fun for every age!!
A nice day was

Looks like fun, I love the water ride picture.
I love Kennywood but we haven't been yet this year. Hope Fred sees this. He loves Kennywood too! Looks like you all had a fun day.
There are no longer any amusement parks in my area. The nearest is Six Flags in Western Ma. We might make a day trip there this summer.
We have a trip planned to our nearby amusement park in a couple weeks.
Looks like you had a fun time.
It sounds like a blast!

I have heard of this park and it is another one I like to check out

Looks like everyone had a great time. I love that they allow you to bring a picnic lunch. Most places don't do that anymore.

Looks like a fun place.
Looks like fun. I'd never heard of the place before.
This appears to be a great fun place.
Haven't been to Kennywood for around 5 years. I go to Idlewild.
As we were leaving Kennywood they gave us 4 tickets for $10 off a ticket at Idlewild!! We'll go there now before summer ends.
Danielle is having way too much fun. What if she's there and Ben and Sid the Kid are there at the same time?
looks fun
nice pics too viewed all
Great post Danielle, I am taking Tori and Troy there in July!
The fries and funnel cake are the best and the tradition we have at the end is stopping at the candy/fudge shop and purchase a bit for the ride home and picking up the Cotton Candy at the booth just before we leave. Great Stuff! : )
We did stop at the fudge place on the way out this time too!! I got a carmel chocolate and it was so rich and yummy I could only eat 1/4 of it at a time. I am savoring the last 1/4 in the fridge. The kids got good stuff too. It was a fun day and overcast so it was not busy!! If you buy the tickets thru their school it's only $20 a person but on limited days of the summer.
That looks like fun
We might try to go to Hershey park this summer too.
I haven't been to an amusement park in years!! Looks like you had a blast!
Looks like a great time
it is good to share happy times
Nicely done Dani!
I haven't been to an amusement park since my kids were big enough to drive themselves to them without me. LOL I love the landscaping in the parks, but the price of a ticket to Six Flags here in the Fort Worth area (Arlington) is about $50.00 and I can go to the Botanical Gardens for free to look at the flowers.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and the pictures are delightful.
