You may have read my previous posts about my dryer not working correctly. It was taking 2 or 3 cycles to dry a normal load of clothes. I called the landlord, and he just got done coming over to fix it.
There was a bird's nest in the piping going out of the apartment! LOL. No wonder it acted like the ductwork was plugged up. So, he got rid of the next (poor birds, but what can you do?) and put a guard over it so that can't happen again.
Have you ever had this happen? Where is the strangest place you've ever seen a bird's nest?

Glad that it's fixed!
That is good! We were without a washer for almost 2 weeks - with 6 kiddos that is no fun!
I've had it clogged before, but never with birds. lol!
Thankfully you got it fixed.
That's good your dryer is fixed
I hated when my dryer tore up! I'm glad yours is fixed.
I figured it was clogged when I saw the title. I would never have thought of a bird's nest clogging it. Glad you got it fixed.
The birds like to make nests in the letters of the sign at our local Bi-Lo.
I pulled my filter out of my dryer once and there was a dead mole in it!
Oh ewwww!!!
I am happy you got it fixed.
moms was taking 3 times through to dry, then I took the back off and cleaned out all the lent...it worked like a dream again but just a few weeks later the motor went out.
LOL" Too,Funny !!!! Birds ?? !! Happy to Hear You're All Fixed again !!
Never seen on there. Thats crazy. Glad its fixed though cause that sure can make your electric bill go up!
on the tire of my plow at work. I never move the plow during the spring or summer, so they figure good place to make a nest.
haven't had it happen, glad it was a easy fix.
I'm glad it got fixed for you Jodie. The weirdest birds nest I've seen is in this thing we used to have in our yard. It was a round filing thing my mom had brought home many years ago. And it had these dividers in it, and some birds had taken over a few of the divisions and built nests in them.
Good to hear it is working again. and an easy fix!!
A bird's nest, that's pretty unexpected! I hope they were able to remove it, so the eggs/birds were ok; and glad it was fixed for you.
We found one INSIDE an F20 tractor engine - babies and all!
I am glad you finally got it fixed - it has been down a while now!
Poor birds! Were there any babies in the nest?
I have no idea. I wasn't here when he found it. But I saw them flying around looking for their home. :-(
Birds used to make nests in the top bar of our clothes line posts every year. The poor babies would cook after they hatched, but the birds still made nest after nest there. Also, birds used to open our mailbox and make a nest in it. We would throw the nest out each day and shut the box. Next day the box would be open and half a nest built again--and they would POOP in the mailbox! Yuck!
I`m glad your dryer is fixed. wow! what a place for a birds nest. our dryer is broke also. I`ve been hanging the clothes out on the washline. trying to hold off on buying a new dryer at least until fall gets here.
So glad it's fixed, crazy bird! Guess they wanted some place warm...
It's working so much better now!
