I started a Garden a few weeks back for some perennials. I was able to plant several perennials this year, mostly of the lily variety, but not all. This fall, I plan to add several bulbs for the spring, including tulips, daffodils, and irises.
I also had a few small things come up from last year- not all of my perennials came back up, but I got them in the ground very late, and they weren't doing great even after planting them.
The garden has been doing great so far! I planted some marigolds from seed, and some varieties of sunflowers, and something else (which I can't recall). I planted 2 grape tomato plants, and I found some pumpkin plants started today from a pumpkin that rotted over the winter.
I'm excited to see that a few of the lily's I planted have buds. I can't wait to see the flowers. The two lilies I planted last year are budded up like mad, and 1 is about to open. They are a vibrant orange color- I can't wait till they start to open. Each plant has between 15 & 25 buds on them, so they'll really brighten up the yard!

Cute garden Heather.
Thank you :)
Your garden looks great! We have been picking radish's out of our garden this week! So far it's the only thing that's ready but the other stuff is looking great!
this is a fantasic view inside your garden..thanks for letting me in for a walk
It looks really nice! We gave a garden a try a few years ago but stopped after adding two bushes. Then I added a sunflower and suddenly sunflowers took over. Eventually we will fix it but it's not worth it yet because the dog digs up everything we do.
It's really pretty! I also would have problems with my dog if I tried to set one up.
We have a fence up around ours to keep the dogs out!
Are you home fom your trip already? The pictures are beautifuul
Oh Wow...great pictures..
Looks like it is coming along. After stopping for a couple weeks because of the grad party, confirmation party and then being sick all last week, followed by rain most of this week, I finally had the chance to get outside and garden more.
I worked for about two hours till I could not feel my arms and then I remembered just how much there still is to do. I have time though in the mornings so I will be doing that. Wish you lived closer and we could share bulbs because I have been crazy busy dividing up all the irises and daylillies that are too crowded.
It looks like it is coming along very nicely Heather!
I'm so jealous of all you green-thumbed gatherers!
Oh, no green thumb here! I plant stuff that's easy to maintain, so I don't have to try and keep it alive ;) Perennials work best for me :)
very nice garden ~ I did not put one in this year. I would have to do a lot of work to put on in here at this house.
It looks like your hard work is paying off Heather. I love your windchime btw.
Great garden
