New Rold Gold Pretzel Waves A lady was handing out samples in the grocery store...a very rare event. Free food! Even though there is no "New!" banner on the package, she said Pretzel Waves are a brand new product from Frito Lay. They come in three flavors:
Retail price $2.89 for 7 ounces. They were on sale for $2.50. From the packaging of the Parmesan Garlic: "Classic pretzel taste, crispy chip-like crunch and the flavors of parmesan cheese and garlic!" One of the pretzels in the photo is cut so you can see that they are actually hollow. So the Waves are not nearly as hard as regular pretzels. Sassy never really cared for pretzels, but these are pretty good! The flavor is great, the not-so-hard texture is great. The price seems a little high for pretzels, but the price of all snacks has risen in the last year. On a scale of one to ten, Sassy awards Rold Gold Pretzel Waves a 9!! The only drawback is the price, but she'd buy them again if they were on a good sale and/or with a coupon. She might even get adventurous and buy the Buffalo Wing Waves!! Whoo-hoo!

I like pretzels, and if I were looking for a snack, might try these. But they are pricey!

Im sold!! next trip to walmart Im buying these. I think I will love the garlic flavor wish they would leave the cheese off but that may be ok in this case.
They really don't taste all that cheesy, mainly garlic. And it is a nice garlic, not the type that leaves an awful aftertaste for hours. :o)

I tried these at the grocery store my daughter works at, this store has samples everywhere......sames in the bakery, the deli and the meat dept...
along with many sample ladies in the isles of the store too.....
I rate these a 10, they are really good.......

I wish I knew of a grocery store around here like that! There are no free samples and it's maybe three times a year that someone is handing out samples. Or maybe they do that more on the weekend when the stores are busier...and I'm not in them! Thanks Randee!

I was surprised that I liked them because I don't like pretzels. I wish they had a flavor with some kick to it...but not as much kick as Buffalo Wings! Something Southwestern would be nice.

I buy the Rold Gold pretzels, but they are not as costly as these are. These don't even look good to me. I shall pass on them.
