Wow, I am so mad at myself.........
But.................
I didn't know how wet and saturated the ground was but I probably should have given where I am.
I am on Madeline Island which is
IN
Lake Superior
Yes, I know this.....
So I get here last night late and unload the essentials and go to bed.
Tonight I decided to pull the truck around and unload.
~~~~~~~~~ BAD MOVE ~~~~~~~~
Anyway, it is very saturated and I totally buried the 4 wheel drive dually with the trailer still attached.
If I am not still so totally embraassed tomorrow I may take photos, HAHA
Otherwise you will just have to imagine.....................
Oh my gosh...............sure hope you can get it out safely tomorrow! Sounds like you got a lot of rain there!
Take photos! You are GOING to want to remember this once the embarassment wears off, LOL!
I definately WON'T be getting the truck out until my husband gets here and I am not sure at this point when that's going to be.
that stinks... i hope you get it unstuck soon
That's a big heavy truck. Hope it's not in too deep.
Wow, that sucks. I TOTALLY feel your pain.
Two Labor days back we went to a local park/beach for a picnic. One of the people that "worked" there told us to park in the grass where a lot of other people had parked. Well, it had rained the day before, and our van got totally stuck in the mud. We had our two kids, my older son was almost 10 and my younger was almost one, and it was HOT out. We had to squeeze into a tiny car to go home, while my husband and a bunch of other guys waited for a tow truck. To add insult to injury one of the park "rangers" decided that NO ONE had told us to park there and that we should get a ticket for tearing up the grass. Well, the guy that HAD told us to park there was walking by, and told the "ranger" that he'd told us, and everyone else, to park there. No ticket.
I know how you feel I hung a 4WD up on it's T Axle once and the tow truck driver just laughed.
Bless your heart. You'll laugh about it one day. :)
Actually, after a couple of glasses of wine,,,, I am laughing about it now!!
Wow! Do you have a tractor? That what we use to pull the stuck vehicles out of the mud, when we get stuck.
Good thing I don't because I would have buried that too!!!
You HAVE to take photos ;)
please enclose pictures,, and do you have AAA
I honestly don't think AAA would even come here..... can you say boonies!!!!!!
Well, no... I can't really say that and neither should you. Don't beat yourself up for being human and not on top of everything every minute. We all make mistakes in judgement from time to time.
If you really must be called stupid... let your husband do it when he gets there. <joke> Please just sigh and smile and let it go so you can enjoy your vacation at the lake.
Sending a hug and a tow truck. <kidding>
I am so kidding...... 47 years old and only been in the ditch once and now this...and I grew up in Wisconsin and Minnesota!!
I hope you won't have too much trouble getting it out. Our back yard it flooded again. got all the rain someone sent to us. won't have to water anything for awhile. we have on day lily but open up now. looks like all the others are about to open too.
Bummer. I hope it drys out soon.
