(Mental Floss) -- Perhaps your history teachers failed to alert you to these Civil War facts: Jefferson Davis nearly got mugged by an angry female mob; Abraham Lincoln loved the Confederate anthem "Dixie," and Paul Revere was a Civil War casualty. Interesting stuff and an interesting website as well, you can check it out here- Seven Civil War stories your teacher never told you - story from CNN Mental Floss Website

Interesting stuff. Thanks.
That was interesting.
Thanks. I thought I had heard every civil war story there was to tell, since I lived in the south for years...where some still talk about it on a daily basis.
Interesting. Thank you.
very interesting
That is really good. I was a history prof., but I had only heard of 3 of those. That was the kind of thing that I wove into my lectures to keep the students' attention. The others would have been little gems.
Thanks.
Interesting. I'm educator for a historical association, my specialty is local Rev. War facts. I like these.
Being a Civil War reenactor I did know about these. I am glad you posted this since there is so much that people do not know about the Civil War.
thanks for the link
I like Dixie too. thanks for sharing
