Money can buy a house, but not a home,
Which can be sold at will for reasons unknown.
Money can buy medicines, but not good health,
Even if one is prepared to spend all his wealth.
Money can buy a clock, but not time,
Which is invisible and does not chime.
Money can buy sex, but not true love,
Sex is ephemeral, whereas love transcends to eternity above.
Money can buy a bed, but not sleep,
Which eludes a person whose worries are deep.
Money can buy position, but not respect,
That can only be earned by the deeds that people expect.
Money can buy blood, but not life,
Which can be taken away by the Creator when the time is ripe.
Money can buy books, but not knowledge,
That connects one’s intellect with his memory, like a wedge.
Money can buy cars, but not happiness,
Which depends on one’s attitude to life and his finesse.
Money can buy gold, but not virtue,
Which is endowed by the righteous to pursue.
Money can buy players, but not their skill,
Which is gifted at birth and develops through drill.
