To be honest, this is not original, but it is interesting because of the origin. Jack Benny started the running joke the year after he had his special for his 39th birthday, apparently, because he didn't think 40 was as funny as 39. Jack Benny was perpetually 39 and was able to celebrate the 41st anniversary of his 39th birthday.
My uncle, in the finest tradition has always maintained his insistence, like Jack, of staying at 39 and celebrating the anniversary of his 39th birthday instead. The 41st anniversary was held at the Garden Grill in Smithtown, Long Island, New York. A large crowd of friends and relatives meet in the back room of this wonderful building filled with wonderful and interesting things.
Every party has people, and here are the people.
Don't forget the cake.
I can't wait for the 42nd anniversary of the 39th birthday.
