I'm afraid of horses. I've been bitten by two of them. And I don't hang out at horse ranches all the time, so my chances of suffering from a horsebite should be minimal, yet I've only been close enough to get bitten by a horse maybe 5 times. I think those animals hate me, for some reason I'm not aware of.
I also have a deap fear of getting locked in restaurant freezers. I've worked in lots of restaurants in my life, so I often have to go in those horrid walk-in freezers, and if the door shuts before I have a chance to get out, I start having panic attacks, knowing for sure I'm going to be locked in there forever, or at least untill i freeze to death.
Are you afraid of anything unusual? Or do you think these fears are normal?

Horse bites are NASTY.
I used to love the walk in freezer when I worked with a hangover - ha ha.
I'm afraid of eating meat. I tastes like rotting death to me. I'm afraid of being homeless - it's hard to be a fussy vegetarian when you're homeless.
I forgot about that perk of walk in freezers, Peter! You are right!
I'm liking meat less and less lately. About all I can tolerate is chicken
i am terrified of snakes.. someonne walked in the door one time at a place i worked i thought i was going to pass out
The horses probably pick up on your fear??
maybe, although I think one of them was trying to eat my hair
I don't like large crowds. I hate going to graduations, basketball games, etc. where there are large crowds and you can't really move.
funny that you should mention those walk in freezers.I got stuck in one when I worked at Disnyland. That handle that is on the inside didn't work and I was stuck in there for over an hour. Thankfully, I had a parka on, but it was still cold.
I don't like those costume characters that they have at themeparks. You would think that I would have gotten over it, working at Disney. Nope! If I can't see the eyes of the person inside the costume, I am not going near it!
CLOWNS!!!!!! Not just regular clowns but the ones with the bald heads, white faces and (I've got goose bumps here) and the BIG eyes. I don't know why. It's illogical. If I knew why, I could probably deal with it. Same thing with pictures of aliens, the ones they call "Greys". They've freaked me out for as long as I can remember.

Clowns are so scary it's not even funny.
It seems there's a lot more people with this phobia than I ever realized. We're not a small club.

I think we all must have read IT
i am terrified of clowns, too!!! ugh! they are just freaky, scary, and NOT funny or fun at all! this includes ronald mcdonald and ALL dressed up characters...
i also have a phobia of cotton balls... pure cotton... the texture, sound... feeling... ugh! it gives me the feeling like someone is running their fingernails down a blackboard! ugh!
my sister is terrified of ants... any kind. teeny tiny and big ones... she runs away screaming like a banshee if she sees one! lol!
LOL........I feel the same about the feel of peaches as you do cotton balls. When you described the feeling I could totally relate.

Umm..zombies.
They were a good band.
I fear right wing nuts with guns, but then, they ought to fear me, as well.
CATS!!!! That's all I'm going to say...(got goosebumps) ^_^
I'm not afraid of ANYTHING!!....... .
....except a lighted match......
Lepers...and Lon Cheney, Jr. walking through the fog in all his' wolfishness.
Emu birds scare me. I love animals, and for the most part they seem to like me back. Those birds have attacked me twice, different animals and different owner... and one pecked at our windows on a drive through safari as well.
bridges
I'm afraid of drainpipes that I cannot stand up in.
O.K. I know there's a story here.................First, what are you doin' crawlin' around in drainpipes? and Second, you don't happen to be dressed as a "CLOWN" do you? (shiv...ver)
I had a bad experience as a kid.
I am afraid of ceiling fans. One almost fell on me when I was 2 or 3. My mom saw it about to fall and picked me up and got me out of the way right before it came crashing down. When I was 7 and we built our house I got to choose the lighting for my brother and my rooms and I specifically did not choose a ceiling fan despite it being a good idea for the upstairs in the hot Arizona weather. Also, as soon as I moved into the house I now co-own with my parents I had my mom take out the one in the bedroom. There is still one in the living room, but I never turn it on. The kid I babysit has them in his and his parents room and when I do overnights I will start sleeping with him as we watch a movie, but I almost always move to the couch because I especially have a hard time sleeping under them.
I have suffered from frost bite so I avoid going near Frosty, the snow man.
If Frosty bites you, you can just bite back.
O.K.............thanks to "Sidewinder 7" my list of phobias got a little bigger. I've gotta quit reading these answers.

I've been thinking this over for more than a few minutes. That scares because nothing seems to scare me, I mean I'm careful around horse cause they kick hard too but I'm bot scared of them. Hmmm maybe if I was on a Montana highway one night and.....
An unexpected encounter with a cottonmouth always scares me...
I am terribly afraid of clowns, mimes, geishas, jesters.... dislike them very much. All I can figure is that my platinum blonde hair makes me an easy target in a crowd.... they always pick on me! I freaking am not just afraid of them, but hate them!
I'm afraid of spider, cockroaches; and maggots. The cockroaches and maggots freak me out the most, but a huge spider like a tarantula; comes in pretty close. I also get nervous if I'm driving, and there's a big truck or bus in the lane next to me; I feel boxed in for some reason.
I'm scared of being closed in anyplace small at all. As well if anyone touches my face or neck I freak out.
