My mother in law passed away yesterday at 4:04Pm. She had been diagnosed for several years with heart problems, asthma/COPD (i think), and about 18 months ago, alzhiemers.
She had been doing alright, I saw her the day before she was her usual self, but she took a turn for the worst in the nite. The family was called in. She was struggling for breath, but her last breath was a peaceful one.
We always lived within 10 minutes of thier home and our kids are the youngest grandkids, plus I married the baby of the bunch, so they are all spoiled after her. My youngest boy wouldn't leave her until she was gone, then he wouldn't leave her until the coroner took her away. He's such a good man at the age of 16. Now he's stuck to his Pawpaw like glue. My husband has bi-polar, manic depressive, heart disease, COPD and some other form of depression, so he's not taking this well at all either. I called the dr and had them order him a fourth nerve medicine. He didn't want to take it, but I was afraid of what this is going to do to him. Our youngest daughter ain't taking this well at all. SHe didn't want to give the coroner's they gurney to move her, then she caught ahold of the house post and just cried, poor baby, she's 12.
If you ar a person who prays, please pray for this family to find the strength to get through this time in our lives, it's breaking my heart to watch these three cry like babies.
I will post later and catch up on the comments as soon as I can,
Lots of appreciation to you all,
Stephanie and my family
We don't know the service arrangements yet, waiting to hear now. Naturally, I can't find my shoes, my daughter's black dress.....UGGGHHH!

Oh Stephanie, I just don't know what to say except that my heart is breaking for you and your family........as having just had two deaths in my own family within the past week, I know it's ungodly tough.......there are no words that can convey one's feelings. Different people grieve differently; there is no right or wrong way......it sounds like your kids have a deep, deep love for their grandparents, which is truly wonderful........you are all in my prayers.....that you all will be able to get through this extremely difficult time. May God bless you all!
prayers for the family! Sounds like she will greatly be missed.
my prayers are with you and your family i am so sorry for your loss
Prayers and Many Hugs being sent.
Sorry to hear that and my prayers go out to you and your family.
Death is so hard for kids to grasp. The initial response is to hang on. It's very sad to witness but everyone, even kids have to go through the grieving process, all of those steps that we adults take for granted. When you are young you don't think about death so when it happens its so much harder to get a grasp on.
Your young ones will be fine. I too will keep your family in my prayers. I am sorry for your loss.
Oh Stepanie, I am so sorry your young ones are going through this. My thoughts and prayers are sent your way. Stay strong my friend for your hubby, I am sending you an extra LG Virtual hug!!!!!

my prayers are sent out to the family
I'm so sorry for your loss, it's never easy to let our loved ones go. I will be praying for the entire family. Take care of your husband, it sounds like it's very hard for him.
Hang in there Stephanie, I'm praying for all of you to get through this.
I'm sorry for your loss!
I am so sorry. Sounds like you have some really sweet kids and I am sure they will get through this just fine. I wonder if there is some sort of connection between the bipolar, manic depressive and copd. My my mother has all three and then some disorders that probably haven't even been identified yet.
