It's June 12th digital TV conversion day. No more will have to see this scrolling across our television screens. No more will we have to be warned of the dire consequences of not converting to a digital box. No more will old people who don't have a clue have to be reassured they don't need a new television. No more . . . No more!

I hear ya...tommorrow is the big day!!
Yay!!!!
Yeah, it got a bit obnoxious !!!
Yep, and means I will be selling more tv's today and less in the coming weeks once people figure out they don't need new ones.
Carol we finally agree on something. lol
I'm sick and tired of hearing about this business driven fear tactic. Just like the demise of VCR's, 8-tracks, cassettes and other , people would have found a way to deal with the demise of analog television without Government intervention.
It's a no-brainer. People love their televisions and would find a way to keep it up and running.
I WANT MY MTV!
That's nice we can agree on something, my friend.
Our channels went digital on the original day. I am hoping that when whole nation goes the signals get better, lol. We have the box at work and its hard to get a good signal sometimes.
Thank God all the retarded advertising is finally over! I love how the gov't think they have to "help" out in these type of situations. Good Lord --- people would figure it out eventually and frankly if someone can't afford a TV that receive the digital signal (or cable or whatever) then, why is it the gov't responsibility to help them out? A waste of my tax payer money. I'd much rather be bailing out AIG and GM (NOT!)
Anyway... I am so glad we no longer have to watch bad TV at my in-laws anymore! LOL
This day is only eclipsed by how awesome the feeling is the day after elections are over and all of the ads quit running and the campaign signs are removed from every square inch of the earth! I HATE eletcion time!
Ain't that the truth!
I don't even pay attention any more.
lately I've been in a fog of my own.
Mooch
Hi Mooch. I was wondering where you've been. Nice to hear from you agian. You need to let us know before you take your next sabatical. lol
Lloyd
Fogs are not good. Are you all right?
I don't watch TV, but my family does.
ha! cute tv!
Not around here. Some aren't chaning right away - still. Not sure why. So the information goes on.
But, yes, starting today we all either have it via cable or a box on top of the TV. I still think it was the government's way of setting up something to monitor our homes. You know...1984ish. :)
Well at least you can't blame this one on President Obama, This was in the works long before he became the leader of the Free World.
:)
Oh, Lloyd, give me a minute.
I am so glad that I will not have to hear about it any more.
Here in Rome our change over has been difficult, our cable company is kinda backwards. My cable and internet stayed down for almost 48 hours total out of the last 72.
Then, I miss you.
There were people at the stores at 9 pm last night complaining cuz the stores didn't have any boxes left. Dur...............
For the next week, we're gonna hear all about the poor people that didn't take care of business in a timely fashion!! :)
We have too many complaints. Why not test it out sooner. People want the government to fix everything.
Well, we can't watch TV anymore....the stupid conversion box isn't stong enough. The signal comes in and jams up...it sounds like the people are doing a rap song each time the TV in on. The signal was much stronger BEFORE they shut off the analog. We could watch digital TV yesterday...oh well.
hey look outside ,, it still life and it is still going on,
What would we do without TV, would life go on......
