Japanese researchers have discovered that certain scents can actually make you more productive. In fact, several corporations in Japan now employ aromatherapy as a brain stimulant for their employees. Try sniffing lemon oil for a morning pick-me-up, peppermint oil to ward off drowsiness and lavender oil to keep those mental wheels turning throughout the day.

Interesting. Thank goodness they are nice smells.
Thanks Lee and Thanks whiffs
This doesn't surprise me at all. I've been interested in aromatherapy for quite a while. I love the smell of lavender and also geranium oil. Chamomile is a nice, calming scent. Good article!
I think I have heard of this.
Thanks Cathi.. I am starting to study Aromatherphy in bits and pieces too.
I don't have an extensive knowledge but have learned a bit along the way.
Before I had a bagless vacuum, I'd soak three cotton balls in lavendar oil and then vacuum. Made the house smell incredible for days.
I have known that for years. I found out that I am allergic to some scents, Lilac, pine, and some perfumes will have me in an state where I can't breathe. Be careful! I worked in a large printing company where we printed the scratch and sniff inserts for magazines. We had 55 gal barrels of perfumes, & scents. A walk to a press one day to give the pressmen some plates, and I couldn't breathe.
Ohhhhh Good to know. I know a lot of people are allergic to perfumes.
That's interesting. I'll have to get some and keep in my office. I'm not a morning person!
Thank you for the comments Renee

Awhile back I wrote a spa instructional manual about aromatherapy, it's amazing what scent can do with regard to motivating, calming, etc. HH
I use lavender for calming.

Will have to try that. I've noticed that sniffing chocolate mint seems to curb my craving for chocolate.
